    Message

    Dear Recruiter,

Greetings from IIM Calcutta! And welcome tothis webpage about the placement process of ourpost graduate program (PGP) students!

I am pleased to convey that a group of highlytalented young men and women are readyto take up the challenging responsibilities ofthe corporate world. Te annual recruitmentcalendar for 2014-2015 starts with the summerplacements in November 2014 where you canhire our students for summer internships inyour organization. Our final placement process,to be scheduled around March 2015, providesan opportunity to hire our graduating students. You can also meet our second year students whohave prior work experience through our lateralplacement process.

Our PGP admission process is quite rigorousand highly competitive; it is probably one ofthe toughest entrance processes in the world. We select only about 450 students from a poolof approximately 2,00,000 applicants. Ourcurriculum requires these highly motivated andbright students to undergo some mandatorycourses in the first year. O nce they complete thefirst year courses, they undergo an internshipto learn from corporate life. After completingtheir internships, these students are allowedto choose a variety of electives in their secondyear. Many students choose electives to pursuetheir industry-specific and/or disciplinaryinterests. Besides academics, students also learnfrom their vibrant community life on campus.

Tey manage and take part in a number of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities whichprovides them opportunities to grow beyondclassrooms.

Over the last few years we have taken severalinitiatives to strengthen our flagship program. We now have student exchange partnershipswith 63 business schools across the world. Lastyear we hosted 66 foreign students for a termon campus, while 96 of our students visitedour partner schools. IIM Calcutta joined CEMS,a global alliance of leading business schoolsto participate in the Master of InternationalManagement (MIM) certification and someIIMC students qualified for dual certification. We also received accreditation from AMBA.

You can browse through the profile of our first

and second year students on this website.

Finally, I would like to take this opportunity tothank you for the invaluable support you haveextended to us over the years. We look forwardto nurture and grow old relationships andwelcome new recruiters for a long-lasting andmutually beneficial relationship.

Looking forward to meeting you at our Campus,
