Ilene Ellen Rundquistwas born October 5,1929,to Oscar and Jacobine(Fischer) Rundquist atHuron. She attendedschool in Huron andgraduated from HuronHigh School in 1947.
On March 27, 1949,Ilene married James D.
Dunbar at the First United Methodist Churchby Rev. O.E. Hessel.
Ilene worked for the USDA SoilConservation Service for 27 years, retiring in1986. She enjoyed visiting with friends andspending time with family. Ilene also likedgardening, reading, and playing the piano. Ileneand Jim enjoyed fishing, attending localsporting and musical events, and playing bridgeand cribbage together.
She was preceded in death by her parentsand a brother, Charles.
Grateful for having shared in her life arehusband of 63 years, James of Huron; her sonand daughter-in-law, David and SusannaDunbar of Melissa, Texas; her daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Mark Kool of Fairfield, Iowa;and nine grandchildren, Hannah, Jason, Kyle,Sarah, Ruth, Elijah, Rebekah, Noah and Isaiah.
