• There’s been a movement away from face-to-face meetings / communication. Instead, people and businesses use video conferencing.

• Technology is more portable and people have and expect constant access to the internet.

• The invention of electronic equipment such as mobile phones makes it easier for people to contact each other.

• Therefore, because of technology we take less time to keep in touch with friends living far away

NEGATIVE IMPACT • Loss of face-to-face communication- may mean loss of some

communication skills and loss of the personal touch. Reliability of information – everyone’s posting so just because something’s on the web doesn’t mean it’s reliable.

• Addiction – some people get addicted to web / games etc. which increases their social isolation and can cause health problems.

• Interruptions – because people don’t tend to turn off technology, they don’t focus or concentrate for uninterrupted periods as much.

• Impact on interpersonal communication:

The current generation lacks essential interpersonal skills (the ability to express the ideas and thoughts to others, face-to-face). A major reason for this tendency is increased frequency of communication through texting and chatting on websites.

SPAMSpam refers to unwanted and unsolicited email messages.

Spam is widespread and has negative impacts on business.

Wading through spam email is a waste of time, and spam filters can only do so much.

Users of spam filters must then check for necessary email messages diverted incorrectly as spam.
