OUR PROMISE. YOUR SUPPORT.

One of the most important ingredients in every Endangered Species Chocolate bar

is a promise! We give back 10% of our net profits annually to support species and

habitat conservation. With every Endangered Species Chocolate purchase, you are

protecting diversity of life on our planet and promoting true global change. That’s our

10% Giveback Promise! Together, we support a variety of species around the globe,

from giant sea turtles and elephants to the smallest crabs and bees.

The African Wildlife Foundation, together with the people of Africa, works to ensure the wildlife and wild lands of Africa will endure forever.

The African Wildlife Foundation works to protect large landscapes in a way that benefits wildlife and people alike. By putting

safeguards in place like training rangers, using sniffer dogs to help prevent poaching, and empowering communities, they’re

helping to ensure that Africa’s wildlife survives and thrives.

The 60,000-square-kilometer Bili-Uélé Do-maine de Chasse is the largest protected area in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and encompasses two unique eco-regions (savanna to the north and forests to the south) that harbor high levels of biodiversity, including the last remaining continuous population of the eastern chimpanzee.

Established in 1986, the Ngulia Rhino Sanc-tuary remains a stronghold for black rhinos as well as a breeding ground to help bolster other rhino sanctuaries and wild populations. In 2007, the sanctuary was expanded from 24 square miles to 35 square miles, allowing rhi-nos more room to roam alongside a multitude of other wildlife, including elephants.

Tanzania’s Ruaha National Park is a vital stronghold for these keystone species. The park holds over 10 percent of the world’s remaining lions, as well as the third largest population of African wild dogs. It’s also home to one of just four large cheetah populations remaining in East Africa. Ensuring these populations endure is critical to their species’ survival.

ESC SUPPORTED PROGRAMS

Bumble Bee Watch is a citizen science program to track and conserve North America’s native bumble bees. Since its launch in 2014 over 8,500 bumble bee observations have been collected from nearly 6,400 citizens scientists and more than 40 locations have been identified where endangered bumble bee species still persist. Observations have been submitted from all 49 states with native bumble bees (Hawaii does not have native bumble bees), all Canadian provinces, and most of the Canadian territories. A map of all Bumble Bee Watch records can be found at: http://bumblebeewatch.org/bees/map.

The Xerces Society’s Bring Back the Pollinators Campaign engages farmers, government agencies, land managers, and the public to protect pollinators. This campaign restores wildflowers as the natural habitat for native crop-pollinating bees, protects rare and declining species, and helps farms across the country and internationally. Over 4,500 people from around the world have taken the Bring Back the Pollinators pledge. More info at http://www.xerces.org/bringbackthepollinators/
