bulbs, flower buds, leaves, roots,
seeds, stems and tubers
*Bulbs – are fleshy leaves that surround a
short stem. That base of the leaves is large
and grows underground.

4. Plants recylce nutrients
Bacteria & fungi (mushrooms) serve as
links in the recyling process of nutrients.
They decompose organic tissues and
release them as inorganic tissues and
release them as inorganic substances to
the soil or water.
*Plants produce Oxygen
The oxygen supply in the earth’s
amosphere is a result of photosynthesis
by green plants.
About 20% of the oxygen we breath is
produced by the green terrestrial plants
and trees.
