Reminders --A note about valentines went home. Let me know if you need another one. We are making the card holder in the classroom. Please do not attach candy to the valentine cards. --Children need a backpack and folder every day. --The Baggie Books have begun. It was fun to have him in our classroom! Ask your child Thank you for all of the snacks brought in for the 100’s Day Celebration!! Thank you also to Mrs. Luedtke and Mr. Hayes for helping us in the classroom. We had a great time!! Kindergarten parents are awesome!

Humphrey’s Visit

Reminders --A note about valentines went home. Let me know if you need another one. We are making the card holder in the classroom. Please do not attach candy to the valentine cards.--Children need a backpack and folder every day.--The Baggie Books have begun. Let me know if you would like a note on how to participate.

Home Practice Ideas For Feb.--Please read with and to your childeveryday.--Read a story with your child and have him/her predict what is going to happen at the end before it is shared. Then check how the author decided to end the story.--Share a story with your child and have him/her retell it to you. See if he /she can tell you the order of things correctly. Act out the story or do a puppet show about it.--Count by 1’s and 10’s to 100.--Count backwards from numbers less than 10 to prepare for subtraction.--Work on the monthly Homework Calendar and Book It.

Humphrey Humphrey the school hamster visited us this week. It was fun to have him in our classroom! Ask your child about it. We wrote a short story about his visit. It is on the back.

Humphrey visited our class. He liked kale, his wheel, and taking a nap. He slept in the corner of his cage. He cleaned himself a lot. It was fun to have him visit!
