“ Impossible situations can become possible miracles. ” — Robert H. Schuller

The difference between impossible and possible is
two letters and it happens to be I’m. As a visual
communicator, I have to see things in various directions
to open a world of possibilities. In every design process,
seeing possibilities empower me and make the impossible
possible. Design takes curiosity, passion, determination,
and courage, when I faced with a design challenge I leave
the impossible out of my mind. I believe in design, there
are endless design solutions and possibilities to
be observe, discover, and explore.

ECHOES FROM THE SILENT KILLER This project encompasses areas of concept development, utilizing design and typography skills to send a direct message. The requirement is to conceptualize a unique theme to promote a specific paper line from an existing paper company. I chose to work with Neenah Paper Company and their Environment paper line.

Navy sonar has had a tremendous, detrimental impact on marine life. The U.S. Navy assumed responsibility for the marine mammal deaths from the mid-1980s up to 2009. Its own report concluded that whales suffered acoustic trauma consistent with sonar usage.
Whales’ sensitive sonar detectors are directly damaged by the strong acoustic waves from the high-intensity sonar, causing pain and disorientation which drives the whales to strand themselves on the beach. This explains the ruptures and hemorrhaging found in some of the whale victims. Another theory is that the exposure to the loud sonar noise causes the whales to become disoriented and confused, compelling them to the surface too quickly which causes decompression sickness.
Naval sonar is important to America’s national defense and should be used when needed. Sonar could potentially eliminate a serious threat. At all other times, its use should be considered alongside the environmental impacts it may have. Limiting naval sonar use in frequency and in geographical scope, it seems like a reasonable solution to avoid unnecessary animal deaths.
Conducting tests away from whale migratory paths. The use of passive sonar to determine the existence or absence of whales in the area before using the naval sonar could curb animal deaths. Simply having greater awareness and consideration for seasonal and migratory locations for these endangered creatures could lead to their preservation.

AGRICULTURE & TECHNOLOGYTHE AID THAT AFRICA REALLY NEED
AN AFRICA EDUCATION SYSTEM FOR AFRICAN
What Kind of Aid Does Africa Need?Food, Technology, Money or Others? AGRICULTURE & TECHNOLOGYNot dumping of food aid by rich countries that destroy local eorts to produce; not the imposition of industrial-style agriculture – based on chemicals and "high-yielding" seeds – in our countries, with the paradoxical outcome of greater production of a few food crops, accompanied by even worse hunger, and by environmental degradation. Pesticides and chemical fertilizers eventually degrade the soil, leading to declining productivity, and the high cost of those inputs will deepen the divide between rich and poor farmers, swelling the ranks of the hungry.

OLDBOY
Oldboy is a 2003 South Korean film directed by Park Chan-wook. It is based on a Japanese manga of the same name written by Nobuaki Minegishi and Garon Tsuchiya. Oldboy is the second installment of The Vengeance Trilogy, preceded by Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance and followed by Sympathy for Lady Vengeance. The film follows the story of one Oh Dae-Su, who is locked in a hotel room for 15 years without knowing his captor's motives. When he is finally released, Dae Su finds himself still trapped in a web of conspiracy and strangeness. His own quest for vengeance becomes tied in with romance when he falls for an attractive sushi chef. The film won the Grand Prix at the 2004 Cannes Film Festival and high praise from the President of the Jury, director Quentin Tarantino, who could not persuade the members of the jury to give it the Palme d'Or over Fahrenheit 9/11. Critically, the movie has been well received in the United States, with an 81% "Certified Fresh" rating at Rottentomatoes.com. Film critic Roger Ebert has claimed Oldboy to be a "...powerful film not because of what it depicts, but because of the depths of the human heart which it strips bare". In 2008, CNN named it one of the ten best Asian films ever made.

PARK CHAN WOOK
Park Chan Wook is a South Korean filmmaker and screenwriter. He was born August 23, 1963 in South Korea. Park Chan Wook has a degree in philosophy from the University of Sogang, South Korea. During his studies, he started a cinema club call “Movie Gang” where he devoted himself to the cinema by publishing critical reviews and articles on contemporary cinema.
After graduation he entered the cinema world in 1988. He wrote articles on film, and later became an assistant director for his friend Kwak Jae-Young, who was a debutante director. In 1992, his first movie, The Moon Is The Sun’s Dream, had no success and he faced the darkest period of his career, but he still continued working on his next film.
Later he met Lee Joon-Ik and Jo Cheol-Yyeon, big producers in those years, and they worked together on Anarchists. He turned down the offer to direct because he wanted to focus on his second film, Trio. In 1997 Trio proved Park’s mastery of the camera, but the response to this film was quite cold and Park’s career almost stopped there.
Without giving up, he proposed Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance to various producers, but he didn’t get any results. In 1999 Judgement by Park was chosen for the Clermont Ferrand Short Film Festival. Park refused again the director post offer by Cineworld because he received a more attractive offer from Myung Films, a big film production house that could potentially change his whole career.

CAPTURE THE RHAPSODY Visualize a song by creating a poster using experimental projected type. The poster must exhibit the mood and visual translation of the song relying solely on the outcome of the projector with pictures and type printed on transparency paper and material. THE GRANDEUR OF SIMPLICITY The goal of this project is to analyze, study, emulate and experiment with the chosen typeface. We designed based on the exercise of the typographic master Wolfgang Weigart and Emil Ruden and incorporate skills in organization, hierarchy, layout, and grid system. This exercise helped students to archive a better understanding of the attention to detail in typography. Frutiger was use throughout this project.
