2013-2014 Spelling Bee Champs

1. State-wide testing for the Ohio Achievement Assessments (OAA) will take place during the end of April. Practice tests for students and information for parents/guardians are available on the Ohio Department of Education (ODE) website or through visiting our schools website and viewing the guidance department links.

2. We will be participating in online field tests beginning in March. This data does not count towards students achievement scores. It is a state-wide practice assessment through the department of Education for students to prepare for the change in our achievement assessments that will be taking place in the near future.

3. We will be celebrating “Random Acts of Kindness” as part of a K-12 school-wide program throughout the month of Febru-ary. This program is through collaboration with Meridian Community Care and the PANDA program. The purpose of this is to allow students to see that kindness is everywhere, whether they give it or receive it.

4. National Honor Society invitations will be going tout to students in February. Packets must be filled out and returned no later than March 14, 2014. Any questions, please contact Mrs. Henderson.

5. Our sophomores visited the Mahoning County Career and Technical School in January. Nay students interested in enroll-ing for their junior year can do so online at http://www.mahoningctc.com/StudentSite/registration.htm .

6. If you have any questions regarding the above, or anything else, please give us a call.
