The traveller captures the memories of his travels through his camera - photographs - or with a video camera - footage. My thesis explores a more engaging, more physical way of capturing the memory of a city - specifically Madrid. The result of this technique has been applied to objects that the traveller can use in their home to remind them of their travels.

This is a collection of household objects bringing the atmosphere of Madrid and the Madrileño culture of living in the streets into the home. Rubbings - made with 4B graphite and fabric - of surfaces and objects from the streets of Madrid have been printed onto the collection of household objects. The sounds from the daily lives of people in Madrid has been recorded and used in this collection.

El viajero captura los recuerdos de sus viajes con su cámara - fotografías - o con una cámara video - footage. Mi tesis explora un compromiso mayor, una manera más física de capturar los recuerdos de una ciudad - en este caso de Madrid. El resultado de esta técnica ha sido aplicada a objetos que el viajero puede utilizar en su casa para recordar sus viajes.

Es una colección de objetos para la casa que traen la atmósfera de Madrid y la cultura de vida Madrileña de las calles. Rubbings - hecho con grafito 4B y tela - de superficies y objetos de las calles de Madrid han sido impresas como colección de objetos para la casa. Los sonidos de la vida diaria de personas en la ciudad han sido registrados y han sido utilizados en esta colección.
