A production facility in Germany strove to increase
production but reduce water usage. Through the
evaluation of reuse opportunities, Arcadis and Coca
Cola identified savings of 2.7 million gallons a year of
water, while reducing water operating costs by $20,000

Although the radium/uranium mine by Great Baker Lake, north of the Arctic
Circle, was originally decommissioned in the early 1960s to the standards of
the day, the community of Deline remained concerned about residual
contamination at the mine site and possible risks to the community. Through
an inclusive framework, Arcadis helped gain confirmation that the radiological
risks have been managed in a safe and appropriate manner and that the
community is and was not at risk.

Since the awarding of the FIFA World Cup to Qatar, a major investment has
been made in creating new infrastructure and amenity buildings. Arcadis has
been directly involved in managing the design and construction of a number
of the facilities being created for the tournament. We’re also working with the
client to develop the blueprint and strategy around how to engage with end
users and potential developers to consider other possible uses of the assets
being built.
