The VSTx is an ultra small, low power, SD, COFDM, video/audio/data transmitter. It has standard selectable modulation bandwidths of 6, 7 and 8 MHz or optional 1.25 MHz or 2.5 MHz narrow bandwidth COFDM (NBCOFDM) modes. The VSTx features superb H.264 SD encoding and operates in the standard 2k DVB-T COFDM mode.

The VSTx is available with two connector options. The first model features standard connectors for simple interfacing in the field. The VSTx can easily be used by agents in the field for body worn video wires and other ap-plications. The second model features a small flex ribbon interface cable that is ideal for integration with cameras in very small, hidden locations.

The VSTx features AES decryption capabilities, making it ideal for public security monitoring, covert surveillance, and other secure transmission applications.

The STx delivers HD/SD output at up to 250mW and occupies less than five cubic inches. It supports video/audio/data transmission with select-able modulation bandwidths of 6, 7 and 8 MHz or optional 1.25MHz and 2.5 MHz narrow band (NMCOFDM) modes. The STx features superb H.264 SD and HD encoding capabilities and operates in the standard 2k DVB-T COFDM mode.

The STx features AES decryption capabilities, making it ideal for public security monitoring, covert surveillance, and other secure transmission applications.

For longer range requirements the STx can output up to 205mW and may be reduced to low power 20mW with the simple press of a button. A video test pattern generator is designed into the STx that can be controlled externally, through the preset switch or programmed to be automatically enabled when the video input is lost.

The STx has an ASI input and output providing the ability to stack or multiplex multiple units. This allows for the encoder of one STx to be connected to a primary STx and both video streams to be sent over a single RF channel.

The ChannelMaster ushers in a new class of totally integrated, feature rich portable microwave transmitters. The ChannelMaster is available in single, dual or tri-band configurations, using frequency bands from 1.5-15.4 GHz. The ChannelMaster encoder features adjustable long GOP encoding including I P and B frames improving video quality as well as a low delay mode. The encoder can be purchased as HD/SD or SD only. For increased flexibility a wide array of inputs are provided, including composite video/audio, SDI (with de-embedded audio), ASI and 70 MHz. The ASI input is ideal for use with an external encoder or to support digital repeater applications. Two audio inputs are standard, while four audio inputs are available. For FM operation, an internal SDI to composite converter is integrated providing seamless operation between analog and digital modes. This eliminates the need for an external converter when used in an SDI plant.

The ChannelMaster features software generated modulation formats that are stored in circuit board PROMs. Available formats include — FM (NTSC/PAL), COFDM, VSB and single carrier QAM.

The Compact Portable Tx/Rx is a light-weight RF video transmit and receive system. The CPTX transmitter delivers HD/SD output at 2W in 2k DVB-T COFDM mode. It weighs less than 7 lbs, making it ideal for aircraft operations. The CPRX receiver is a ruggedized dual diversity COFDM receiver offering exceptional RF performance combined with high ease of operation. Both support video/audio/data/telemetry with selectable modulation bandwidths of 6, 7, and 8MHz.

The CPTx is capable of 30% bit rate reduction and video quality improve-ment compared to other encoders by using advanced features of the H.264 codec. The CPRX features superb H.264 SD and HD decoding. These features are combined in light-weight, durable, weather-resistant packages delivering unequaled value in high quality COFDM video.

The IMT Mobile Tactical Receiver is a ruggedized COFDM (DVB-T compliant) diversity vehicle mounted down link receiver. It offers exceptional RF performance and durability with H.264 MPEG-4 and MPEG-2 decoding. The Mobile Tactical Receiver has AES decryption capabilities that make it ideal for law enforcement, public security monitoring and homeland security applications.

The IMT Mobile Tactical Receiver includes integrated antennas and features a compact, lightweight rugged IP rated chassis enabling it to be mounted on vehicles in any weather conditions. The receiver accepts IP Streaming of the MPEG Transport Stream to the computer application software decoder and is powered via a single cable. A windows-based software application decoder (IMT Soft Decoder) is included with each Mobile Tactical Receiver. The unit displays video on a built-in internal 9 inch 16:9 format high-brightness resolution LCD display. The IMT PSRX6D is a ruggedized COFDM (DVB-T compliant) 6-way diversity portable receiver/monitor. It offers exceptional RF performance and durability, combined with true ease of operation and superb decoding. The unit displays COFDM video transmissions using a built-in internal 10" or 12" ultra bright daylight readable display. The display features an easy to use menu driven interface designed with the user in mind. The PSRX6D has optional AES decryption capabilities that make it ideal for applications ranging from public security monitoring to covert surveillance.

The unit includes a wide array of video input and output formats, including Composite, ASI and HD-SDI. It consists of four built in block down-converters, two with internal antennas and two for use with high power external directional antennas. It also has two UHF input ports for optional external downconverters, enabling the user to have true 6-way diversity or dual band capabilities. The RMR-X6-II-D software-defined, six-input digital diversity receiver provides maximum ratio combining, DVB-T receive capabilities, ASI output for forwarding the stream, UDP streaming over IP (Ethernet) and an internal MPEG-2 SD/HD decoder.

The unit is controllable via the front panel, RS232, or Ethernet. Stream monitoring capability is provided for network management. The sophisti-cated monitoring of the X6-II-D allows viewing of RF parameters such as SNR and transport stream functions for continuity and stream identifica-tion. A local CVBS on screen display in addition to the front panel OLED gives the operator all the vital characteristics of the incoming signals with a Data and Spectrum Viewer Screen.

The RMR-X6-ll-D has six antenna UHF RF inputs that interface with external Block Down Converters (BDCs)to provide superb maximum ratio combining capabilities. This type of coverage is ideal for mobile vehicle and aircraft receive applications, where traditionally a steerable dish was required to receive the moving transmitted signal.

The unit is powered by either 9 to 36 VDC or an external 110/240 VAC power supply.

The DR1 is a lightweight 2 GHz HD/SD COFDM microwave receiver intended for portable and mobile video/audio applications. Its stylish rugged machined housing provides durability and excellent thermal characteristics for operation in the harshest of conditions. The DR1 is an ideal companion to the 2 or 7 GHz CamPac2 wireless camera transmitter.

The DR1 receiver can be configured with dual or quad diversity demodula-tors using maximum ratio combining, which significantly improves the robustness of higher data rate COFDM modulation. This provides improved path reliability. The built-in spectrum analyzer gives an instant analysis of the selected channel and can be used to minimize multi-path or see if the channel is clear from interference. Individual antennas can be switched off as required to maximize link reliability.

The DR1 2 GHz receiver can be configured for any band plan that falls with in the 1.99 to 2.70 GHz band. With the addition a Block Down Converter (BDC) the DR1 frequency coverage can be extended to other frequency bands.

The DR2 is a split box HD/SD COFDM diversity microwave receiver intended for outside broadcast and other mobile video applications. Its stylish rugged machined housing provides durability and excellent thermal characteristics for operation in the harshest of conditions. The receiver has four RF inputs that communicate directly with the system’s external intel-ligent receivers in 1.99 to 2.70 GHz and 6.40 to 7.75 GHz. Other bands are available. The use of external intelligent receivers allows the receive antennas to be remotely mounted.

The DR2 receiver can be configured with dual or quad diversity demodula-tors using maximum ratio combining, which significantly improves the robustness of higher data rate COFDM modulation. Spatial diversity increases system performance by digitally combining signals with different characteristics. This essentially fills in the gaps in the channel and provides improved path reliability. The built in spectrum analyzer gives an instant analysis of the selected channel and can be used to minimize multi-path or see if the channel is clear from interference, individual antennas can be switched off as required to maximize link reliability.

The Compact Portable Tx/Rx is a light-weight RF video transmit and receive system. The CPTX transmitter delivers HD/SD output at 2W in 2k DVB-T COFDM mode. The CPRX receiver is a ruggedized dual diversity COFDM receiver offering exceptional RF performance combined with high ease of operation. The CPTx is capable of 30% bit rate reduction and video quality improve-ment compared to other encoders by using advanced features of the H.264 codec. The Auto Leveling RF Power Amplifier can be used with the STx or another nominal 200 mW DVB-T source to boost the output power level up to 2 Watts. It features proprietary auto leveling circuit which maintains the RF output power constant. The use of industry standard interfaces makes this product compatible with multiple vendors’ equipment. The performance is suited for today’s digital modulation techniques, including COFDM, QPSK, 16QAM, 64QAM, and VSB.

The RF power control switch modes are: standby, low power (21 dBm), medium power (27 dBm), and high power (33 dBm). At a glance the user will see the current state of the unit.

For users that have remote power needs, an optional bias-T can be added. All the units feature a RS232 interface for remote mode setting, alarm reporting, and status monitoring.

The Digital Repeater is a modular solution utilizing the key components of the STx, SRx and ALPA power amplifier to provide a wide variety of solutions including:

Simple cross band repeater applications can be achieved to extend the working range of the VSTx and STx. This is of critical advantage when the tactical location, scene or event has dead zones making a reliable direct transmission difficult to achieve. The X-Tender digital repeater can be used as a simple repeater, receiving and then re-transmitting to another location overcoming the dead zone.

The X-Tender is an extremely powerful and flexible package. If the surveil-lance or event requires multiple cameras, the STx can be used to encode a local camera, to the repeater, and multiplex it along with the video source being repeated. This gives added capabilities and serves as a force multiplier delivering additional views on the same link.

The High Dynamic Range Low Noise Amplifier is a ruggedized self contained low noise amplifier. The LNA is a 24 dB gain HDRLNA with internal band filtering. It has an extremely low noise figure enabling users to integrate the LNA into their system without degradation to the receive signal.

The HDRLNA is ideal to use at the front end of any receiver to extend the range of the system or overcome cable loss due to long cable runs to receive antenna systems. The HDRLNA can be ordered to suit any frequency need the customer might have.

The HDRLNA’s internal bias-T, wide DC input voltage range and low current draw make the unit easy to insert into any receiver system. It has a weatherized lightweight chassis which enables the unit to be placed indoors or outdoors.

The LNA uses standard N-type connectors, and requires no special adaptors.

Our UHF down converter was designed to convert a range of high frequency digital COFDM and analog transmissions to the UHF frequency range. It is a single conversion BDC with low phase noise and high linear-ity. GL Digital Fixed Link System

Modular architecture makes the IMT GL series the most advanced and flexible microwave fixed link on the market today. Available in all microwave bands from 2 to 23 GHz, GL systems can be configured as a split indoor/outdoor or as a completely indoor system. From duplex systems built in a single rack unit mainframe to the most sophisticated hot standby diversity systems, a wide and growing variety of modules makes it simple to fill any system requirement. All new modules are backward compatible with existing systems, making the GL link virtually obsolescence proof.

Take the latest IMT GL series modem card, the UNM/3. Like the UNM/2 modem it replaced, the UNM/3 is a full duplex card. But in addition to offering all the features of the older model, the UNM/3 offers two separate ASI inputs and outputs, as well as a transparent Ethernet port. Yet, it can be easily added to any existing GL Link to expand capabilities or for replacement purposes.

In addition to the highly versatile UNM/3, encoder and decoder modules are available that make it a simple matter to add a remote camera to a studio transmitter link, or to connect a remote news bureau. In fact, the system offers well over four dozen different modules that make it simple to design a system that exactly fills user needs. With our four port multiplexer and demultiplexer cards, a single radio can carry up to six ASI streams and Ethernet data.

The new SkymasterTX (SKTX) is a lightweight, full-featured digital COFDM video downlink transmitter built to address the unique requirements of aircraft downlink operation. The chassis design features either horizontal or vertical ARINC mounting. All of the connections and controls have been located on one side of the unit. This allows the SkymasterTX to be removed from one aircraft and installed in another with ease.

A unique feature of the SkymasterTX is a built-in GPS receiver. This allows aircraft position data to be downlinked to the command center for display on a moving map system. This feature allows rapid location of the aircraft.

The SkymasterTX can operate in a wide variety of bands delivering High Definition and Standard Definition video resolutions. The SkymasterTX can output up to 8W of RF power extending and improving link reliability. The SkymasterTX features COFDM digital modulation. COFDM modulation is unaffected by multipath – unlike single-carrier modulation formats such as FM, CDL or QAM.

The SkymasterTX has a built-in H.264 (MPEG-4) encoder or optional MPEG-2 encoder. MPEG-4 encoding is the latest encoding method. It requires 50% less bit-rate over MPEG-2 improving the reliability of the transmission even more. MPEG-4 also allows for the transmitting of High Definition video without sacrificing performance. IMT has taken great care with the design of the internal H.264 encoder. It has been designed with video quality as its cornerstone. The quality of the encoding rivals that of full-featured rack mounted encoders.

The ChannelMaster LITE features all of the great qualities of the ChannelMaster in a lighter weight package, specifically mission oriented for helicopter and aerial applications. This new two-box configuration results in greater than 40% weight reduction. The ChannelMaster LITE is available in single-band configurations, using frequency bands from 1.5-15.4 GHz. The encoder features adjustable long GOP encoding including IP and B frames improving video quality as well as a low delay mode. The encoder can be purchased as HD/SD or SD only. For increased flexibility a wide array of inputs are provided, including composite video/audio, SDI (with de-embedded audio), ASI and 70 MHz. The ASI input is ideal for use with an external encoder or to support digital repeater applications.

The ChannelMaster LITE features software generated modulation formats that are stored in circuit board PROMs (programmable read only memory). Available formats include — FM (NTSC/PAL), COFDM, VSB and single carrier QAM. As additional digital software formats become available, the PROMs can be easily updated. This feature increases the flexibility of the ChannelMaster LITE and helps avoid obsolescence.

The quad-helix omni (QHO) designs bring the advantages of the characteristic quad-helix antenna radiation pattern to mobile ENG uplink/downlink applications.

The QHO features carefully designed helix parameters to optimize performance characteristics for such applications.

The QHO antenna provides a circularly polarized omni-directional radiation pattern with peak gain of 4 dBi at 30 degrees above the horizon, and then decreasing gain, with no nulls, as the elevation angle increases to the overhead 90 degree direction. The shape of this radiation pattern naturally compensates for the change in path loss as a mobile transmitter moves from the overhead direction out towards the horizon.

Good coverage is provided in this way from approximately 20 degrees above the horizon to the overhead direction.

The range of high gain omni-directional antennas comprise co-phased arrays of eight vertically polarized radiating elements to provide omni-directional azimuth coverage with a high gain, narrow elevation beam.
