GERALD F. KIRCHNER
gERALD F. KIRCHNER was born in Irondequoit, N.Y. on April 24,
1930. After graduating from Irondequoit High School, he entered
Paul Smith's College in September of 1949. While in college he was
active in Resort Management affairs and a member of the Newman Club.
In February 1951, he enlisted and was originally assigned as a
cook. On November 29th of that year, while serving with his In
fantry Division, Pvt. Gerald Kirchner became our first casualty of the
Korean War. It is fitting and appropriate that we pay homage to so
fine a young man whose earthly ambitions were halted so early in life.
