PROBLEM STATEMENT

Dr. Jorge Kirobi is the owner of Prudent Healthcare. A leading skin treatment healthcare provider highly experienced in skin and weight solutions. He would like to expand his business beyond Kenyan boarders through medical tourism. This will enable Kenya based clients to get treatment overseas and foreign based clients to get treatment in Kenya.

Dr. Kirobi has a problem as he does not have the relevant information on the right management strategires, macroeconomic analysis and the best IT Infrastructure to cater for the expansion both in Kenya and overseas. He risks millions of fortune if he expands blindly.

Our team seeks to research on the macroeconomic analysis of these countries , the right management strategy and the right IT Infrastructure to obtain the relevant information that will help our clients expand his business.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

In our presentation we first did a background research on skin treatment to indentify the global trends.

We then looked at the macroeconomic policies that are favourable to consider for expansion. We identified the favourable countries.

Then we looked at management strategy and the best ways to control and manage the business by use of an IT infrastructure.

We finally came with set of recommendations and conclusion for the client.

Prudent Healthcare Clinic is located in Nairobi Kenya. It is situated right off the CBD in Westlands area.It provides specialized skin treatment services and weight solutions.

The revenue turnover yearly is 20 million. The revenue streams include consultation,routine doctor visits. It serves 5-10 patients daily mainly on routine procedures

• All countries have shown an increasing trend in economic growth and GDP

• Inflation rates - USA had the lowest inflation rates -0.10% followed by UK and Malaysia. 2015 Kenya and India had the highest 5%

• Business confidence – Malaysia recorded the highest 95.50 index point.

• Interest rates- US and Uk had the lowest interest rates 0.25% with India and Kenya having the highest at 7 and 8%

• International trade – Malaysia recorded a trade surplus.
