EDITORS INTRODUCTION by Russell GoffeWelcome to the October issue of the In the Presence of Angels Newsletter. Inside are more great features, inspiration, links and spe-cial offers.

This last month has been very pow-erful indeed. There have been some ups and downs of a great magni-tude, due to leaps in vibration. The planet is ascending and our ascen-sion is almost a bi-product of that. We can step forward and welcome this ascension or we can choose to live in confusion and fear. There is a choice and it is important.

When the planet takes a leap in consciousness we feel it. Some more than others will notice as it happens, but we will all notice the effects, if we stay aware of our own lives.

The trouble with our ‘end-user’ ex-perience of these leaps in vibration can be that what we experience is blank new-ness. If we are not in a space that is open and centred then we will not experience these shifts

as light-filled times of love and en-lightenment, we will experience an adrenal reaction and hit a bound-ary of fear of change, fear of the new and unexperienced. Portions of our mind and our potential open up and if we are not in a welcoming place then we may be confused.

The problem is that we run.

These areas of our consciousness are new. They have not been pop-ulated with past actions, feelings, thoughts and experiences and so they are innocent. We have no refer-ence points through which to expe-rience them and so we do not know what to do. It is our job in these moments to be aware and populate these new places with feelings of love and positive thoughts. We can no longer run from misguided first impressions during this ascension.

These energies are our friends. We are misinterpreting positivity as negativity, because of the magni-tude of its impact, which sparks a reaction of fear.

These energies are our friends. They are not darkness. We must be discerning to know the difference. You can recognise them through the purity of the energy. It is brand new and holds no preconception. Where a fearful, darker energy may raise feelings of past events, people or places, this will not hap-pen with these energies. If you ex-perience them as fear the fear will be hollow, unjustified and seem to have no cause. Do not run but wel-come.

In the picture above I am sat be-fore the Temple of Poseidon in Sounion, Greece, the southern most tip of the mainland. Posei-don is Neptune, God of the Sea. Imagine how he might crash huge waves over villages or settlements. Scary or cleansing depending on your stance.

Angel Awareness Day SpecialInternational Angel Day Report

On Sunday Sept 7th I was honoured to facilitate the third International Angel Day held at the Crowne Plaza, NEC.

I hold an event each year and it always surprises me how each one is so different. Many of the people who attended have been to the previous two days so I know they expected to go away feeling happy and lighter like previous years. There are also some people who may be new to the topic of angels, they wonder what they’re doing there at first, but that is soon dispelled as the day gets underway.

International Angel Day is an annual event held by Angel therapists® who have been trained by Doreen Virtue PhD. I was trained by Doreen in 1995 after many years of healing work.

This International Angel Day was going to be a bit different as I called it the year of transition. You see I have decided to move away from the world of Angel therapists and raise my vibration to the concept of oneness. I have recently bought a licence from In the Presence of Angels and will soon be opening a new centre in Knowle, Solihull.

The day started with a welcome and opening meditation, helped along by the beautifully chan-nelled music from Shaun Frearson, a musician who openly admits his music come from his angels and guides, he simply remains open to it, then writes it. As we started you could feel the love and energy fill the room; these true angelic qualities were felt by all; we had tears, laughter and peace.

I invoked several Archangels and channelled messages from each; this is when many people re-ceive their own unique message and are able to receive it by simply being there in the presence of Angels. It always is a surprise when I “return” to the room after channelling, it’s as if I don’t recog-nise me or the room I’m in. I’ve learnt to adapt and come back quite quickly now.

We then talked about how we can all become angels. Yes, we may be human but we can be more angelic and accept the angelic qualities of LOVE, JOY and ACCEPTANCE. I am a much nicer person than I once was and it’s simply because I see my angelic self now. I’ve always seen others’ pure beauty but until recently have failed to see my own. I now accept me as a beautiful child of God who is loved by many.

I talked about the transition process of how my previous angel days were and how they were changing. We talked honestly about how we sometimes have given our power away to the angels and how important it is now to re-claim that power. A good example of giving our power away is to call upon a parking angel for a parking space. There is no need for this, simply breathe, ask for a space and one always appears. For verification, just ask my family and friends they are always so surprised that I always get the space I want….even in busy rush hour traffic!

I then introduced Allison Timmins, as Allison and I will be travelling together; Allison to promote In the Presence of Angels, open mobile schools, and me to facilitate Angel awareness days around the UK and abroad.

Allison talked about the oneness concept and illustrated the point with a true story personal to her. People were starting to grasp the concept as it became more personal.

I was then guided to “up” the energy by standing in the circle that we all created to practice oneness and share in the process. Individuals were chosen to stand in the centre of the circle or “step into the LIGHT” as I called it and state how they were going to become more angelic. Their shyness ebbed away as they could feel the LOVE and acceptance from us all and bravely declared their changes. We then exclaimed that “we were indeed the angels”!

Lunch brought us a time to browse at the goods on sale and mingle with fellow angels to hear their stories. This is such a special part of the day as new friendships are made and questions shared and an-swered. The beautiful items on sale were provided by Jo Pattison of Inspirations who takes her mobile shop to all the angel days and Jenny Frearson an angel artist who creates inspiring but simple works of angel art at such an affordable price. Check In the Presence of Angels’ forthcoming Living Soul Store online, as she will soon be selling them there. There were also In the Presence of Angels’ angel images on sale and information.

After lunch we laughed some more, cried a little, answered questions and sang our hearts out. A beau-tiful angel, Emma Sprigg, shared her pure voice with us and sang like an angel. The day ended with an attunement to raise our consciousness and yet more music by Shaun. Paul Fogarty a fellow angel therapist assisted in answering any questions then we sealed the day with the love created by us all. We vowed to return next year and enquires have already been made.

I was exhausted at the end of the day as I gave out so much love and energy to hold the space. I didn’t mind that as I knew this day had made a difference to many. In fact the emails and calls I have received have confirmed that for me. “That day has changed my life and I thank you for that” was a call I received today.

Angel Awareness Day SpecialVisitor experienceMy name is Karrie and at the suggestion of a very dear friend, who knew that I believed in Angels. I attended the International Angels Day workshop with her, held by Alison Ward on the 7th September 2008.

I had never attended anything like that before and wasn’t sure what to expect but my friend and I both felt that it was going to be a very special day. It was.

Alison was there to greet us and it was such a warm and loving welcome that I immediately felt that it was the right thing for me to be there. As the day began with Alison invoking the Archangels; I had tears of joy rolling down my face. I have never felt such peace. I was in the presence of people who lived their lives in the light and full of unconditional love and you could see it in everything about them. I could feel the Angels around me and I knew that everyone else could too.

Alison talked about Angelic experiences with such enthusiasm that other people began sharing their stories and as I sat and listened and remembered my own experiences, I felt part of a wonderful team of people who want to live in the light. It was at that moment that I noticed a column of golden light coming from the top of Alison’s head. I was about to whisper to my friend when someone else in the group said. “By the way , Alison. You have a beautiful golden aura around you today”.

Several other people agreed that they could see it too. Amazing. I had never seen a per-son’s aura before. I saw quite a few that day! The afternoon was just as lovely. We got to hear about “In the Presence of Angels” and heard from other people involved in the work Alison has devoted her life to. I felt more and more that I wanted to meet with her again. I have done and it has changed my life. Shortly before attending International Angels Day I wrote a lyric called “Could I?” asking if I could possibly live in the light and do all the things I dreamed of.

I came away that day knowing that I can do anything I wanted. And now I am living my dreams.

As a teacher in Bangkok, Thailand I re-turned back to England for a 6-week holi-day. In that time I had been drawn to ‘In the Presence of Angels’. I completed my Reiki Master-Teacher level and it seemed that the Universe wanted me to complete my learning by going on the Living Soul Therapy course. Once I had completed 2 modules on the course as a holistic thera-peutic teacher and lightworker I was very excited to see how I could bring this en-ergy and knowledge into practice in my school.

On my return to Bangkok I had made the conscious decision to bring forth my knowledge of energy work clearly with the children in my care and with the staff that I work with, this being something that I had previously been afraid to do. Using the skills that I had learnt on the course I knew that this was and is part of my soul journey and I had a clearer understanding of how this small step will begin to take a journey of its own.

Incorporating Reiki and Living Soul Therapy into a primary classroom

Part of my school day now consists of me clearing the classroom as a sacred space. I connect with each child’s energy to en-sure that I have a better awareness of any issues that may be brought up during the day. We light a candle and burn oils in the classroom and this sets the day up for fantastic learning and a comforting envi-ronment.

As I have a personal passion for crystals and as they can be used so well by chil-dren we now have around 25 crystals in the classroom. I brought many back from the UK and these live in our ‘circle time crystals’ box. Circle time being a part of the British National Curriculum that ena-bles children to talk openly about their feelings.

Using the crystals during this special time of our busy week has facilitated the chil-dren to have the confidence to say what they feel would help them have more con-fidence or to say the things that I believe they may not have had the courage to say before. We choose one child’s crystal each week and this is what we call our talk-ing/thinking stone. Before the crystal is passed around the circle it is held by my-self and energised using Reiki symbols. We are beginning to start our circle time session by carrying out the ‘tuning in for many hands on healing‘ mantra. I have found that the children are willing to listen more carefully to each other and in turn offer suggestions on how to make each other feel more self empowered.

Five weeks into school and the children are now finding crystals in the gardens around school and are placing them in dif-ferent areas of the school to balance the energies that are around the building. The children in my class are cleansing their crystals and are putting them in areas of our room to create a flow of beautiful Reiki energy.

The Use of Reiki in a Primary School Setting

Three of the children in particular are be-ginning to remember their amazing skills that we are all born with and are beginning to remember how they can be used. One boy has spoken to me about the ‘tornado’s’ in the school, he is in fact speaking of the energy vortexes of which we have three in various areas of our school grounds. We have now been able to talk in child friendly language to make him aware of what they are, their purpose and that there is noth-ing to be worried about. He is beginning to openly talk about his concern for mother Earth and how it is changing.

I had an interesting conversation with one parent who is currently reading a book on empowering the whole child. Reading her energy system allowed me to say what I thought would help her child best. I sim-ply put to her that sometimes we need to practice these things for ourselves before we can fully understand how it can help our children. With a look of surprise and aware-ness her eyes welled up with tears and began to tell me about her own childhood. I feel that part of her son’s journey will be to facilitate his mum’s healing, that he will teach her to look into her soul.

We have many earth angels in our schools who are displaying behaviour which seems to be uncontrollable, sad and misplaced. In fact they are here to be our teachers, they are teaching us to look within ourselves. To question our educational legislations and to ask, is it working for the children of today?

On an educational point of view using my Reiki and Living Soul skills in the classroom has shown me that the education system is ready for change. I feel that many of the teachers who work in our schools are work-ing with their truest heart and are crumbling under the pressure’s of the government’s requirements.

I have noted within my own school the amount of teachers who are now opening up ‘alternative healings’ or being trained to be a Reiki channel. These steps will bring about the changes that are needed to educate the children of today so that they are in connec-tion with their highest selves and to enable them to be the amazing healers that they were sent to Earth to be.

I sat at my computer today excited about the reopening of the Birmingham school as a living soul centre and excited about the work I shall do there. I reflected over the last 6 weeks full of love, sadness, insight and empowerment. I gave thanks for this wonderful life, as I do most days wether they are good or bad. As always Archangel Metatron is with me when I type or write or have to use my brain and Jesus who has been a constant companion these last six weeks sat by my side. Then God said the following words to me which I would like to share.

Coming to TermsA life experience from Klara Brittes Da Silva

The story that I have decided to share with you is my own life experience about the time when I questioned the correctness of teaching all levels of Reiki in one course. The doubts that were raised for me were based on traditional Reiki teachings that tell us to study Reiki for many years until you can become a master. The experience that I went through nearly pulled me off my path if I would have followed traditional “time guide-lines” for Reiki mastership.

When I did my Reiki course oit consisted of levels 1, 2 and Masters/Master Teacher in a one-week course. Shortly after the course I met with a Reiki-experienced lady in her late fifties. The meeting happen whilst I was working in a restaurant. She used to come there quite regularly and I knew her as a person who always came, had her glass of red wine and salad and was sat there with her husband, both of them were reading different books.

One day she came with chakra poster in a carrier bag. I was curious what it was for so I asked her. She said that she was going to teach A Reiki Master class that weekend. I said that I was already a Reiki Master. We had a chat and I told her proudly that I did my Reiki all levels in one week. To my amazement her reply was that it in her opinion it wasn’t ‘proper Reiki’ that I stud-ied and I was ripped off, because normally people study years and years to get so far. I felt really embarrased and questions started to arise.

How is it possible that I could get so far in such a short time? I knew that Jacqueline said that she discussed this with Dr Usui and other Ascended Reiki Masters before she attuned me and they told her that I was ready for receiving the attunements, but it was like a bug in my head. I decided, based on that lady`s words, that I would not use or teach Reiki until “I feel ready” in my eyes (or until ten years pass – which many people need to get to study Reiki Masters in the traditional Usui system).

So I kept doing self healing every day and months went by. A year after the attunement I still felt inadequate of using Reiki and kept questioning the way I thought. The shift that I went through was very similar to the wild energetic ride that we are all experiencing these days. Ups and downs, happiness, sadness, depression, everything came out. On top of everything that “Reiki lady” became a more regular customer in the restau-rant where I worked. She was the voice reassuring me again and again that I wasnt really a Reiki Master, not even level 1 (or if so... maximum level 1). I ended up in a very deep derpession doubtful about everything - my self, Reiki, all my belief systems, my abilities etc.

Out of my deepest despair I called upon the Ascended Masters (I didnt know who to call upon so I called only “Masters”) and I asked them for guidance. Than I had a dream. I was in a school as a child. It was like medieval school. We were all writing on blackboards with chalk and I was maybe 12 years old and we were still studying the alphabet. Suddenly there was a cut and another part of the dream was when I was a child and I was 7 and I was in the first year in school and we were studying the alphabet... and another cut... and suddenly then there was me as a teacher in a modern-day nursery where I had a group of 3 and a half year-old children and they were each one telling me the alphabet. They knew the letters and started to put words together. Sud-denly a very old man who looked like Merlin came to me, because during all dreams I was not only an actor, but also an observer, and said, “do you understand now how the world works?” at first I didnt... then... it clicked... whereas in the past we needed 12 years to learn to read, 20 years ago maybe only 7, now... chil-dren are learning to talk and read simultaneously. And if you think about this dream as a metaphor - in the past we needed 10 years to progress from Reiki 1 to Reiki 2 level or Masters, now we only need a much shorter time to learn because the techniques of learning have changed - energies are more poverfull than before and manifestation happens faster than before. To get to understand the metaphor hid in the dream took a few days. The minute I realised and admitted that my teachings were as adequate as others I got my first Reiki client and soon afterwards my first level 1/2 student. Now I know that many people try to do their best to support us, but they can do it only from the level where they are at.

If someone believes that it takes ages to master Reiki, so be it. If someone admits that Reiki is a “clever” en-ergy, technically, you are master straight away. There will of course be lessons to learn and personal develop-ment present all the time, but you always have a choice to go and follow your fear or to follow the light in you.

When this all clicked in my head... even the “Reiki lady” stopped coming to the restaurant and when she occa-sionaly came we never spoke about Reiki again. Once the doubt wasnt part of my belief system... the reality stopped mirroring it to me.

To conclude – I realised on my own experience that it is 100% true that what you believe in your heart, reality will mirror for you in forms that you would never even dream about. So when you stand in front of the mirror in the morning… stop for few seconds and think… what do you want to see in your life mirror?

Starting Points a Rambling by Russell goffe

So many new beginnings that we experience; a new year, a new day, a new per-son. At the start of a new year we try to give ourselves a clean slate. When we meet a new person we feel the freshness of a new start in which that person knows nothing of us. We can be whoever we want with them. It takes less bravery as they know no different. We don’t have to change anything old, just start something new.

It is for this reason that we like new beginnings, because they offer the opportunity to let go of the things that we no longer want in our lives and replace them with more desirable attributes. We find it easy to forget. Think how easy it seems at New Year to drop old, unwanted aspects of your life and set off in a new direction. New Year is a symbolic time and the power to change is great at this time, but we almost feel that we have been given permission to change. Do we need permission at any point to stop doing one thing and start doing another, to turn and face a new direc-tion that we think is in our better interest? Who gives this permission?

We experience more new beginnings than we realise. In effect each moment is a new beginning in which we can not only drop one or two things about ourselves, but can release everything that no longer serves us, our highest path. Of course it may be an intense awareness to think like this on a moment-to-moment basis to begin with, but try to think of each morning like it is New Year’s Day, then each af-ternoon too. Allow yourself the happiness and freedom of choosing a positive route as regularly as you need.

When we think of people that are depressed and awake each morning holding a weight of past baggage. The first thing they think of happened years ago, but they do not give themselves permission to let go. Soon they will forget what the cause was and awake just ‘feeling’ the baggage rather than knowing what it is. Their path is much more difficult to start anew, but it can be a simple as turning around and facing a new direction. A direction in which they are a new person, a new moment in which past actions no longer exist.

Do we unnecessarily put ourselves through hardships? Do we make ourselves suffer? Do we bog ourselves down with unnecessary baggage or do I just ramble? Are these just the blurted words of a man who awoke one day weighed down by thoughts of past decisions or is there a truth in there?

I know I have learned and advanced much in my life through simply turning away from that which does not serve me. Not running away, but turning away, with dignity and empowerment. A powerful choice to make a positive change.
