I think that my music magazine follows some of the conventions which are used in typical music magazines but uses them in different ways which appeals more to my target audience for example in a typical music magazine the title is normally situated and the middle and is written in big letters which fills the whole of the top of the magazine as with vibe magazine, while in my music magazine my name was centred in the middle and didn't fill the whole of the top of the music magazine I did this because i felt that if I would have done that it wouldn't have looked good if I would have done it like that also with using my title like vibe had done it means that you lose part of the title and the gloss it taken and gone more into the picture of the artist which is normally good put in my opinion I don't think it works well.

One of the different conventions which I did was using the different fonts that represented the different band or artist for example I used Jagger SF for W.I.L.D and Algerian for Pandora’s box I did this because I thought that it would make it looked more exciting and appealing and would enable me to show the different perspectives of each band or artist. I also used different colours as well as this would enable me to show the colours which the band or artist use for example W.I.L.D are red and Pandora’s box are purple. Although I did use different artists which is something which is normally seen in a music magazine contents page instead of there just been focus on one artist.

For my Double page spread I used conventions which you would normally see in a music magazine but yet again took a spin on some of these conventions I also looked at using my own conventions which weren’t typical of some music magazines. One of the conventional methods which I used in my double page spread was the use of a quote on the top of my page, this was something which I had seen in a lot of magazines and thought it would be a good idea and would help explain to my audience what was going to happen in and what the ban were like the reason i chose to put in on the same page of the interview was so that it matched up with my interview, this was an idea i hadn’t thought of at first and had originally stretched it over two pages but after advice from my peers took there advice and it worked well. Another convention which I used was that using my interview in columns which was an idea which had been in most music magazines within the interviews and one which couldn’t be done in any other way so the interview had to be done in that way or else it wouldn't have looked right.

Another convention which I didn’t follow was using a different background colour as I had used black in my front cover, double page spread and my contents page as I had explained previously I did feel that the work which had been done and the pictures which I had used were more better suited to if I would have used any other colours. Another convention which I didn’t follow was the fact that I used a biography and a who’s who of my band member compared to a normal music magazine as within a normal music magazine the band or artist would already be known well and would have no need for a biography and I thought this would be a good idea and would enable the readers to know about the people in my band by using my profiles which I wrote about in the construction and development phase.
