Introductions: Alta - CSCC welcomes our newest member Paul Heatwole to the Colorado Springs Corvette Club. Merchandise: Denise - Please check with Denise for any mer-chandise you have ordered or would like to order Treasurer’s Report: Gary - Read and accepted. SCCC: Bob Adams - Bob, president of the Southern Colorado Corvette Club spoke at our meeting. We are two clubs that have-n’t crossed paths very often. He encouraged us to work on some combined events. He would like information and help possibly becoming NCCC members. Bob wished us congratulations on getting the NCCC national convention and offered to help as they can. Parade of Lights Parade - Around 90,000 people attended. The night was fantastic and warm (relatively speaking for the parade). One Corvette ran out of gas. Met at Culvers after dinner. It was a great parade.

Christmas Party: Anne - The Christmas party was attended by 52 members at High Forest Ranch. We had our pictures taken, played games, ate and danced or watched a video of the new ar-chives. I want to thank Denise Phillips for being the greeter and game organizer, Rob Miskowitch as our photographer, Diana Dittman for the picture frames, jane Creighbaum for decorations, Charlie and Joy Boland for bringing the archives, coffee and help-ing with clean up, Bud Silvers and Walt Jenkins for parking and all the members who brought food for the pot luck. Thank you all for coming and I hope you had a nice time. (Editor note. Thanks to Anne for organizing the event and reserving the High Forest Ranch building.) Christmas Baskets: Judy and Hal - Congratulations to everyone. We stocked and delivered 160 baskets to families (778 people) in need this made both nutritional and spiritual differences in their lives. Thanks to Patty and Dick Strauch, Vicki and Tom Ury, Dana and David Cherry, Rik Noring, Hal and Cindy Tumbleson, and Judy and John Gue and everyone who donated food, helped assemble and deliver the baskets. We voted to use up to $5000 of the treasury to do this and we only needed $373.73. Special thanks to the following for donations: • Dave Beam • Wreckmasters • Elite auto • Culver Collision • Blossers • Vand Davis Company • Melvin Swindale for 560 hotwheels • Christmas Unlimited for plush toys • And many club members for donating money and food (editor

didn’t know who wanted to remain anonymous so I didn’t print all names)

Manitou Parade: Patty - It appears we were the only car club. It was very windy, so decorations where minimal. Garage Tours: Rik - Didn’t have a garage tour in December. This month’s tour will be on January 22nd. Menu will be pizza and associated refreshments that go with pizza. This month’s theme is deciphering numbers, engine code, VIN numbers, matching numbers. Bring your car. Club Charity: Sean - Two charities were presented: Mission medical, and the Trolley Museum. A vote was taken and Mis-sion medical was selected. 1/3 of our dues will be donated which totals $426. Other donations will be made throughout the year.

Trailer update: Craig - Our new trailer will arrive in late Febru-ary. Thanks to Hal and Walt for driving it back from the conven-tion meeting in St. Louis. There was some discussion about post-poning the purchase, but we voted not to revote. /CCC Update: Walt - See page 28 and 29 for NCCC events and officers. You must have event paperwork completed and submit-ted to the regional competition director 70 days prior to the event, and flyer must be complete 30 days prior to the event. We have opening for the following convention positions: • Decoration chair • Volunteer chair • Publication chair Dub Bridge Party: Winnie - Last month’s flyer had wrong year. See flyer. Door prizes, $5 per person, bring snack or appetizer. Silver State Classic Challenge: Sean Soulvie - Sean Pazdzior and Sean Soulvie invite you to join them in this event. It’s a 90 mile timed event. Various categories based on your preferred speed (95mph through 180 and unlimited). Tim Greenshields mentioned this is fun event. He expects the Z06s to dominate.

Pg. 10

Pg. 11

VOTR: Walt - Should we help VOTR with timing for their event. They will compensate us with two entrees into VOTR plus gas money for hauling trailer. We agreed to help. Joint Car Show: Rick - On May 30th at PPIR there will be a joint car show with MOPAR, Ford, and Chevy. We have been invited to participate. No one volunteered to coordinate our participation. It might be an event we work together with SCCC on. Not quite sure if Rik volunteered to coordinate the event. Corvette Upgrades: • Rik installed a new DVD player in his C6. Trophy Help: Melvin - For this year’s Ruth’s Car show, Melvin would like to incorporate a coffee cup theme to the trophies. If you have any ideas please share them with Melvin. Ruth had a love for coffee, so this would be a nice theme. Good News/Bad News: Jim Mesite won the good news/ bad news suite case. Mostly good news. Very nice ear muff baseball cap was included. I have a feeling we may see that again.

Here is some great information passed along to us by Cliff Wright High Plains Raceway | Your Colorado Performance Driving and Racing ... High Plains Raceway: The Colorado Amateur Motorsports Associates (CAMA) is proud to invite you to contribute to your performance driving and racing future. www.highplainsraceway.com/ - HIGH PLAINS RACEWAY will be the newest road racing motorsports facil-ity in the Rocky Mountain area. The project has been developed by of the Colorado Amateur Motorsports Associates, LLC (CAMA). Thanks to funding from the participating clubs, all the wonderful Founding Contributors and Founding Sponsors, and participants in the lending program (largely racers and club members) construction was begun in August of 2008 and all paving com-pleted in early October. HPR will be available for the 2009 racing season. The HPR property is located approximately 60 miles east of Denver's I-25 and I-70 interchange. Visit the Track Details page for exact location and directions. It's a mere 60 minutes from about any place in the Denver metro area. If you have a business which could take advantage of track advertising possi-bilities, please visit our Contact Us page and we will be delighted to help you with a program. Please check out all the other areas of this website for further details on this exciting project. At 2.5 miles in length with 15 turns and several significant elevation changes, High Plains Raceway will be one of the nation's great tracks. CAMA, and the respective clubs and their members, are extremely ex-cited about the realization of this new facility. ________________________________________ =Regards, Cliff 2005 White Corvette Coupe Corvette -- Everything else is just "transportation".

Dear CSCC Members, We want to thank you for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers during the recent passing of my mom. The "Seeds of Life" gift you sent us is much appreciated. We've planted the seeds and are anxiously waiting for our little tree to sprout so we can plant it outside in the spring. It will be a lovely, living reminder of a wonderful mother and our caring friends in the Corvette Club. Thank you all for your support. John and Judy Gue
