Computer Engineering: (Odd Sem)

The third Board of Studies Meeting of Computer Department and Information Technology after

getting autonomous status to G. H. Raisoni College of Engineering & Management, Wagholi,

Pune was held on 28/07/2017 at 10:00 AM in the Conference hall. Dr. Jibi Abraham, Dr. Vahida

Attar, Mr.Kushal Sharma were the external members present. BOS Chairman, Ms. Poonam

Gupta welcomed the BoS members. They overviewed TY B.Tech Computer Engineering &

Information Technology syllabus for 5th & 6th Terms. They suggested changes in syllabus

content and revised elective buckets.

Computer Engineering: (Even Sem)

The fourth Board of Studies Meeting of Computer Engineering was held on 28/04/2018 at 10:00

AM in the Conference hall. Dr. Jibi Abraham, Dr. Vahida Attar, Mr.Kushal Sharma and Mr.

Viraj Jamble were the external members present. BOS Chairman, Mrs. Poonam Gupta welcomed

the members. They approved the Course structure and syllabus of TY B.Tech and FY M.Tech.

with some minor changes, reviewed the Course Objectives and Course Outcomes of each course,

reviewed the Choice based credit system (CBCS), suggested changes in elective bucket. They

also reviewed Final B.Tech course structure and suggested changes in electives and marking

scheme of project.

TECHNOWAVE-2018

G.H. Raisoni College of Engineering and Management, Wagholi, Pune has

organized technical festival named as “TECHNOWAVE-2k18” on 28th Feb 2018 and 1st

March, 2018. Students from different colleges were participated in this event. It gives

us immense pleasure to further note that our fest was held in presence of many

eminent personalities. Objective behind this event was overall improvement of

student by participating in different competitions organized under TECHNOWAVE.

The event was inaugurated by Mr. Sachin Adlinge who is the Manager Application

Engineer at 3M India PVT LTD, Pune. Other dignitaries present at the time of inaugural

function were Mr. Ajit Tatiya, Trusty Director, RGI, Pune, Mr. Pravin Matte, Deputy

Director, GHRCEM, Pune, Dr. R.R. Ararkerimath, HoD of Mechanical Department and

Event In-charge of TECHNOWAVE, Ms. Geeta Atkar, Faculty Computer Engineering and

TECHNOWAVE In-charge. Our chief guest Mr. Sachin Adlinge guided about how

technology has progressed and the aim it needs to strive for 2020 and how the world will

change by 2050. He encouraged students to take active participation in events and make

a future out of our passion in science and technology. Around 1000 students participated

from inside college and outside college. Department wise various competitions were

organized such as from Computer Engineering department Code Buzz, Code Buzz++,

Virtual auction, CS-GO, NFS, code blooded. From Electronics and Telecommunication

Line Follower, Blind Follower, Circuit Debugger. From Mechanical Engineering

department Robo race, Industrial hackathon, lathe war. From Civil Engineering

department Box Cricket, Breejo mania, Technical Quiz, Make from Scrap.

On 1/03/2018 Prize distribution ceremony was arranged .Chief guest was Dr. S. N.

Sapali, Professor and dean, College of Engineering, Pune along with him all department

Heads were present for distribution of the prizes and to motivate students. To summarize

we would like to say that students enjoyed every bit of our journey towards

TECHNOWAVE and we would make sure that our next fest will be even bigger and better.

Overall event was conducted under the guidance of Hon’ble Mr. Sunil Raisoni, Chaiman, RGI Group, Dr. Jaywant Sankpal, Director, GHRCEM, Pune and Dr. Preeti Bajaj, Director,

GHRCE, Nagpur`.

One Day Workshop on Prohibition of Sexual Harassment at the workplace

One day workshop on Prohibition of Sexual Harassment at the workplace has

been organized by ICC member for all girl student and female staff member on

10th

March.2017 at G.H.Raisoni College of Engg. And Management, Pune. Total

80 participants were present .The workshop was started with inauguration of

Internal Complaint Committee (ICC).The workshop was addressed by Adv.Ajay

Jagtap. The workshop elaborates about what comes under sexual harassment,

provision about penalties and consequences of sexual harassment in Indian law and

how to deal with sexual harassment cases. The workshop ended by open

discussions about filing cases against sexual Harassment.
