The team will to put in place a plan of action that will not only assist

you with your current course, but will also give you the information,

skills and tools that will continue to help you when you finish your time

here at College.

The Learner Support Team work with you to identify any additional support that you

may need

Pop in to Learner Services if you need advice on any of the below:• Dyslexia or other specific learning difficulties• Hearing impairment, visual impairment, speech difficulties,

arthritis, epilepsy, cerebral palsy, or mental health difficulties such as depression.

• Assessment Arrangements and exam support.• Referral for further assessment.• Support completing the Disabled Student Allowance (DSA)

application forms.• Access to enabling technology (e.g: text help, laptops etc)• Study skills support

• When you enrol, you will be given a Student ID Card, you must keep this on you at all times

• As a student of this College means you automatically become a member of the National Union of Students (NUS), giving you access to all facilities that NUS provide.

Class Rep

• At the beginning of term, a class rep will be elected from each class. You become the voice of your fellow classmates.

• The class rep meets with lecturing staff on a regular basis to discuss how you and your classmates feel the course is going.

• Class reps help to ensure that students’ views and experience are taken into account. Students have a voice in the development of college policies, the curriculum, the facilities and services and the overall ‘learning experience’.
