2. THESPIANISM! Acting! Dancing! Singing! Impersonating! Performing! all examples of thespianism! 3. AS A CHILD, My favorite activity was performing entertaining those around me, watching them laugh, and being the center of attention. The world was my stage and I could be any character I wanted! 4. SO WHAT? ILL TELL YOU! Whats the big deal? The big deal is this: performing encompasses every pattern of play! This means all of the benefits of each pattern were present in my upbringing! Everyone has their specialty, but my specialty is having all the specialties! 5. SPECIALIZATION SPECIALIZATION! What does this mean for me socially? I can get along with anyone! Do you want another personality type in the mix of your company that doesnt mix well with other personality types? 6. I DIDNT THINK SO! 7. WHERES THE BEEF? What would cause a man to make such outrageous claims? Well, the proofs in the pudding mister! (Or missus) Here are a few examples of what my swell patterns of play have done for my work history: 8. BARISTA! I made the best coffee in the shop! Why? I always added my secret ingredient: Charisma! (and nutmeg) 9. SHOE SALESMAN! I didnt sell the most expensive products, but the shoes I sold were on the happiest of feet! Why? Because my eyes werent on the customers wallet, but his funny bone! 10. CRYPTOLOGIC LINGUIST! As an enlistee in the USMC, I excelled at my occupational specialty: Language! Why? Because good performers are good listeners! 11. INSTRUCTOR! As a teacher, I consistently receive higher student reviews than my peers. Why? Because MY classroom is a stage! 12. STORYTELLING Is THE unit of human intelligibility! (Brown & Vaughan, 2010) This is the core of my play personality! But as an actor and performer, I frequently adopt several play personalities including: 13. JOKER! 14. KINESTHETE! 15. EXPLORER! 16. COMPETITOR! 17. COLLECTOR! 18. ARTIST/CREATOR! 19. WITH THAT MANY PERSONALITIES, WHO NEEDS FRIENDS? 20. ILL TELL YOU! I do. Please hire me. 21. REFERENCES My brain. Brown. S., & Vaughan, C. (2010).
