Why?

Every quarter, we give employees the chance to work on anything that relates to our products, and deliver it within 24 hours – hence the name, FedEx Day.

Foster creativity – When there’s no rules, anything’s possible.

Scratch itches – Every employee has something that bugs them about our products, and FedEx is the time to tackle it.

Get radical, dude – FedEx gives a spotlight and traction to radical ideas that might not normally be prioritized.

Have fun! – Traditions like FedEx Day help make Atlassian a more fun place to work.

What?Some of the projects from FedEx Day are turned into features that go into production like FishEye's side-by-side diffs. Others were built for fun and learning like Atlassian Invaders.

When?A friday (6h) every three weeks. We maintain the previous ratio of R&D work (4h per sprint).

Why?Same purpose as the Atlassian FedEx days.

What?Basically any idea approved at: http://ragbag/labs.

Voting Awards

Submit ideas to http://ragbag/labs and make sure they get approved.

Write a shipment order and share it with your scrum master. You should write:- Team members- What will you achieve?

Start with a quick kick-off meeting at tech-agora, work all day. InfoJobs will provide lunch and dinner for people willing to stay.

Some presentation locations will be provided. Everyone has 3 minutes to present their project.

Every assistant will vote for the best project. The best projects from each become the finalists. And opt for the quarterly FedEx award.

Each quarter the best projects among the finalists will be voted again and the best one will be given the great FedEx award.
