OUR POINT OF PRIDE 89th AKHIL BHARATIYA MARATHI
SAHITYA SAMMELAN
The feather in the cap for the success of DPU was the 89th
Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan (All India Annual
Marathi Literary Meet) which was hosted by DPU from 15th
to 18th January, 2016. This event will truly go down to the
history not only of DPU but also of the great state of
Maharashtra as a grand success story. On an average
1,50,000 discerning people from India and abroad visited the
venue every day. A gigantic exhibition encompassing 400
book stalls truly representing the rich and vast culture of
reading and literary excellence of the people, recorded sales
of books worth Rs. 5.50 crores in four days. Speeches and
lectures, group discussions, panel discussions, poetry
reading sessions were thronged by astute readers in
thousands. The Sammelan was truly a Maha-Kumbh Mela of
all Marathi literature lovers.
Eminent luminaries, such as Mr. Devendra Fadanavis -
Hon'ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Mr. Nitin - Gadkari
Hon'ble Union Minister of Transport & Shipping, Mr. Vinod
Tawade - Hon'ble Minister of Education and Cultural Affairs,
Government of Maharashtra, Mr. Sharad Pawar - Former
Union Minister, Mr. Gulzar, Mr. Chetan Bhagar, Mr. Javed
Akhtar, Dr. Raghunath Mashelkar, Ms. Asha Bhosale, Mr.
Sushil Kumar Shinde, Dr. Vijay Bhatkar and other dignataries
etc. attended the Sammelan. Gyanpeeth Award Winners
were Padmavibhushan Sitakant Mahapatra, Padmashri Satya
Vrat Shastri, Padmashri Rehman Rahi, as well as, Padmashri
Pratibha Ray also felicitated in the Sammelan. Renowned
Marathi Author Dr. Shripal Sabnis President the Sammelan.
DPU has granted a sum of Rs. 15.00 lacs to three eminent
personalities for promotion and propagation of Marathi
language and literature in the field of education. The entire
contribution collected towards the rent of book stalls and the
delegate registration charges were donated with additional
amount making a total of Rs. 1.00 crore to NAAM foundation
for helping the families of farmers in the drought prone area,
who have committed suicide.

Workshop on "Personality Development" was conducted by Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Nursing on 20th January 2017 in seminarhall at Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Nursing, Pimpri, Pune.
DYP Seva Alumini had organized blood donation camp held on 5th August 2016.
College has organized two Continuing Nursing Education Programmes for trained nursing staff of Dr. D. Y. Patil Hospital,Pimpri.
i) Care of patient on ventilator dated on 17th November 2016.
ii) Legal & Ethical issues with two MNC credit points on 28th February 2017.
As per Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi, syllabus M. Sc. / B.Sc. / P.B.B.Sc. (Nursing) students visited Super –specialtyhospital & different institutions in Jaipur & Agra November 2016.

Aim
The aim of the postgraduate program in nursing is to prepare graduates to assume responsibilities as nurse specialists, consultants,educators and administrators in a wide variety of professional settings.

On completion of the two years M.Sc Nursing programme, the graduate will be able to:-

1. The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and Registered midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council.

Health ServicesThere is provisions for the following health services for the students.
A) An annual medical examination.B) Vaccination against Tetanus, hepatitis B or any other communicable disease as considered necessary.C) Free medical care during illness.D) A complete health record is kept of each student. The question of continuing the training of student, with long term chronic
illness, will be decided by the individual college.
MODE OFTHE TEST
The Test consists of one question paper of 100 Marks of 3 Hrs. duration. The Question Paper consists of Long Answer Questions onNursing Profession, including all Nursing Sutdents.
TIE-BREAK FOR EQUALMARKS
In case two or more students obtain an equal number of marks at the entrance test, the following procedure shall be adopted for decidingthe final merit:
First Level : The candidate, having more marks at B.Sc. (Nursing) level in the subject for which candidate opts to apply will bepreferred. If the tie still persists, then
Second Level : The candidate having higher aggregate marks in final year of B.Sc.(Nursing) or equivalent examination will bepreferred. If the tie still persists, then
Third Level : The candidate having higher aggregate marks in B. Sc.(Nursing) course will be preferred.

ANNUALFEE STRUCTURE
Counselling and Admissions
TheAnnual fee shall be increased by 3% each years
(Note :Annual Fee includes Tuition Fee, Development Fee & Other Fee)
The Annual fee is to be paid by a Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favour of Payable at“Principal, Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Nursing”
Pune by the student at the time of counseling and issue of admission letter.
Eligibility Fees
15% (Fifteen Percent) of the Annual Fee, payable for the first year only, shall be paid by the student separately at the time of filling in theEligibility Application, as University Eligibility & Registration Fee. This fee shall be paid by a Demand Draft (DD) Drawn in favour of“Registrar, Dr. D. Y.Patil Vidyapeeth, Pimpri” Note : The Vidyapeeth eligibility and Registration Fee is notpayable at Pune.refundable.
University Examination Fee
In addition to the above fees the student shall pay the University Examination Fee as prescribed by the University from time to time.Other conditions and formalities shall be as per the Rules of the University.
Rules for cancellation of anAdmission and Refund of Fees:
• Admission to the course can be cancelled at the request of the student, on submission of an application, within time.
• The Student applying for cancellation of the admission on or before the last date of admission, he will be entitled to get refund of fees
as per rules notified by the Vidyapeeth.
HostelAccommodation
Hostel and Mess facilities are available to all those who wish to avail the same. Air conditioned rooms with telephone and internetfacilities are also available.
Ragging
Ragging in any form is a punishable offence in accordance with the “UGC Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in HigherEducational Institutions, 2009”, and committing this act of indiscipline shall result in punishment under the provisions of any penal lawfor the time being in force. On admission, candidates will be provided with detailed guidelines related to Ragging.
As per the recent UGC Regulations, the affidavits to be filed by the Student and their parent about the anti-ragging regulations of UGC,these affidavits need not be on stamp paper nor need to be registered. On the Contrary they should be submitted by the admitted studentsby submitting these affidavits on-line. As per UGC regulations mandatory affidavits should be submitted by all old and freshstudents and parents / guardians on the UGC website - www.antiragging.in display the step by step guide on "How to fill anonline anti ragging undertaking by the student and parent / guardian".
Disputes
Difference of opinion and any dispute arising in the interpretation and implementation of the clauses in this brochure, if any, shall bereferred to the Vice-Chancellor of Dr. D.Y. Patil University, Pimpri, Pune and his decision shall be final and binding on all the concerned.
Court Jurisdiction
Any legal dispute arising out of the admission procedure of the course and refund of fees of the University shall be under Pune jurisdictiononly.
Warning
The candidate seeking admissions to any of the course of the University is warned against possible cheating by unscrupulous persons,who may promise and assure seats by extracting large sums of money, from the parents/candidates. The University has not appointed anysuch agent(s). The University shall not, in any way, be responsible for the misdeeds of such person(s).

9. As per the rules and regulations of the affiliate University
and the Indian Nursing council New Delhi, 80% attendance
in non-lecture teaching i.e. seminars, group discussion,
tutorials, demonstrations, practicals, hospital posting and
bed side clinics etc. also student must secure at least 50%
marks for the total marks fixed for internal assessment in
particular subject in order to be eligible to appear in final
university examination of that subject.
10. If the student remains absent from the institute for a
continuous period of ten days without prior permission of
the Principal, the management reserves the right to cancel
his/her name from the roll. Such a students will not be
entitled for any refund of fees.
11. Ragging is a serious conizable offence. Ragging the students
in any form within or outside the college and hostel premises
is strictly prohibited. Miscreants will be expelled from the
instantly.
12. The Principal reserves the right to remove from the roll the
name of any student for failure to pay the college/hostel dues
in time.
13. Consuming alcoholic drinks and drugs are strictly prohibited
in the premises of the college & hostel. Involvements found
in such thing will be deal with seriously.
14. Damaging the property of the college and it sister institutes
like tampering with fixtures, fitting, equipments,
instruments, furniture, books, periodicals, walls, window,
panels, vehicles will be viewed very seriously and is likely to
result in instant expulsion of the student from college.
16. Parents shall verify internal assessment record of their
wards. Educational insurance is compulsory for all students.
1. It is imperative that the students strictly adhere to the day of
opening and closing of each term during academic year.
2. The students must be present for all class tests, Mid term
tests, terminal & preliminary examinations. Strict
disciplinary action is taken against those students who fail to
attend the tests, Practical, Dissections, Tutorials,
Demonstration beside clinics and theory classes etc.
3. The students should complete all the term work such as
Journals, charts or any other assignments as per schedule.
4. The students and parents should specially note that, if the
students fail to complete the term work regularly and has
poor academic performance, he/she will not be granted the
term and will not be allowed to appear for the university
examination.
5. The students should note that, he/she is responsible to the
authorities of the institute not only for his/her conduct in the
premises; but also for the conduct in general, out side the
premises as wel l as the par t ic ipa t ion in any
political/antisocial elements etc. If he/she is found involved
in such activities, strict disciplinary action will be taken
against him/her.
6. The students should help in maintaining the building
decorum in the campus of the institute.
7. If a students remains absent for lectures, practicals or class
tests examination without prior permission of the Principal
or the Head of the departments, he/she be fined along with
other punishments of academic nature as directed by the
authorities.
8. The students should read the notices regularly on notice
boards in the academic complex, library and the department
at various notice boards
