Frankfurt is the largest city in the state of Hesse and the fifth-largest city in Germany, with a population of over 704,000 people. Frankfurt is the main financial center of both Germany and Europe. It houses both the European Central Bank and the German Federal Bank. Also the main stock exchange Airbus A380 at Frankfurt (Photo from Wikipedia, by Wo st 01) of Germany is located in Frankfurt. Frankfurt airport is the third busiest airport in Europe after London Heathrow and Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport. It handled 56.4 million passengers in 2011 and is the main hub of Lufthansa. In 2011 a fourth runway was opened, the 07L-25R (please note a download is required to add this runway to FS9 and FSX!). For charts and downloads, see http://www.vacc-sag.org/airport/EDDF.

Geneva International Airport (formerly Cointrin Airport) is located 2.5 miles northwest of the City of Geneva and can be accessed from both Switzerland and France. The airport handles over 13 million passengers and around 190,000 aircraft movements yearly. Although Switzerland isn’t a member of the European Union, the airport counts as a European Freight Hub since freight operations are accessible from both Switzerland and France. The city of Geneva is a major financial centre and is headquarter of some agencies of the United Nations and the Red Cross. The airport has one concrete runway of 3,900 meters (12,795 ft) and a parallel grass runway only to be used by light aircraft. Approach is either over lake Geneva or over the mountains, so it is critical to adhere altitude restrictions.
