Dear Corporate Partner, I am writing to invite you to participate in the 6th annual Innovations in Wound Healing Symposium that will be held in Key West, Florida on December 5 - 8, 2019.

Wounds can be deadly, with a 5 year mortality rate in excess of many cancers. Despite vast medical progress, 6 million Americans suffer annually from chronic wounds and less than two thirds of all patients heal within 6 months. Clearly, advances in the understanding and approaches to healing are needed. Five years ago, we launched, “Innovations in Wound Healing”, a meeting that brought together a syner-gistic collection of clinicians, scientists and wound healing business experts to form a unique educational experience that challenged conventional paradigms of wound healing science, product development and care. These meetings have been a great success and are improving each year with input from all. Once again we invite you to be a part of our special meeting. An experienced group of thought leaders forms a nucleus that is dedicated to creating a distinctive event.

The meeting is designed to maximize interaction between faculty, our industry partners and registered attendees, both during and after educational sessions. We found that great interaction occurred during both the formal meeting and the informal activities in the afternoons and evenings. This structure fos-ters remarkable collaboration among all participants.

The symposium topics are based on innovations in our discipline and tailored for clinicians, scientists and our industry colleagues commited in developing novel therapies ranging from tissue regeneration to new treatments for chronic wounds. The role of government and regulators are covered as well.

Sponsorship is available at four levels: Platinum Level - $25,000 Gold Level - $15,000 Silver Level - $10,000 Exhibitor Level - $5,000

The success of this truly great learning opportunity would not be possible without the committed support of companies like yours!

Jennifer Cheetham will be the conference coordinator/administrator for the conference. Please contact her with any questions and to communicate your intended level of support. You may reach Jennifer at 503-545-2662 or if you have any other questions or need assistance prior to the conference, please contact us at our head office, 503-635-4761.

We hope that you will be joining us in Key West.

On behalf of the Conference Committee, Marjana Tomic-Canic, PhD Chair, Conference Committee

BackgroundInnovations In Wound Healing was organized by a group of experienced educators, scientists and clinicians interested in communicating new approaches to the repair of tissues throughout the human body. Our meeting focuses on the science of tissue repair and its implementation to benefit patients. The Committee shared a vision of establishing a hospitable forum to disseminate and exchange the latest advances and thinking in the science of tissue repair and the development of new and improved strategies to address an important medical need. By offering a spectrum of presentations that extends from molecular biology to clinical development in both healing and fibrosis, the participants will gain a broader perspective of the challenges of moving basic science discovery into new product development and patient care. The meeting time is balanced between formal presentations, panel discussions, informal discussion, and poster sessions, with the intent of maximizing interchange. The meeting environment is on a site that is exceptioanlly conducive to interaction. There are many medical challenges in tissue repair and more attention is needed to this growing healthcare challenge. With a worldwide prevalence of nearly 200 million skin wounds, there is great opportunity for development of Innovations in Wound Healing. The Innovations in Wound Healing Conference provides a forum to communicate advances in our discipline that combines input from experts in the field and those of industry leaders. Innovations in Wound Healing brings together a diversified gathering of clinicians, developers and scientists to create a unique opportunity to communicate. The presentations will challenge para-digms of wound healing science and tissue repair therapies. The organizing committee represents decades of experience in organizing such symposia.
