0RECOMMENDED ACTIONS FOR ALL EMPLOYEES TIMELINE ASSIGNED NOTES ACTION EE-1: Develop a simple “Green-At-Work” handbook. Update employee sustainability policy manual to include the following tactics for reducing energy and water use as well as waste and costs.

A company-wide energy efficiency policy that deploys many of the action items listed in the energy efficiency tactics.

Plan and launch an employee education program to introduce the essential actions of the handbook. Integrate program into new employee orientation.

Develop a company policy to recycle all possible materials – glass, paper, scrap metal, phone books, cardboard, aluminum, batteries, plastic bottles, light bulbs, computers and peripherals, ink and toner cartridges and pallets.

Central recycling area to be developed by the refrigerators near the connector ramp. Cell Phones: Ordered free cell phone recycling program materials from Call2Recycle.org. Materials should arrive by 6/10. Rechargeable Batteries: Currently, utilizing Batteries Plus with buckets located at Apollo and Ryerson. The Call2Recycle program is for rechargeable batteries as well so that will replace the Batteries Plus program. Paper: Already done - all locations have recycling bins in every office/cubicle, copy room, lunch room
