TLI AS A PARTNER IN LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT THROUGH THE EFFORTS OF OUR STAFF AND COLLEGE-BASED LIAISONS, WE ARE CREATING NEW LEADERSHIP PARTNERSHIPS ON CAMPUS AND IN THE COMMUNITY.

Coggin College of Business: Through a recent grant award, TLI partnered with Coggin to support Dr. Robert Renn (TLI Liaison) and Dave Reed (TLI Instructor) in their professional development training/certification with the “Leadership Challenge” organization in Dallas. The resources obtained through this training will augment the tools available for TLI staff and students. These grant funds will also go to support the training of TLI staff and instructors throughout the academic year.

In coordination with Melinda Santos Quant, we are expanding our Career Apprenticeship Model for TLI students to include more than 200 potential "career coaches" and help additional students graduate with the Leadership Minor. For example, our career coaches already include professionals from Action News Jax, the PGA Tour, Mayo Clinic, Franklin Covey and the COO of the nation’s largest construction company. We also hope to include numerous members of the UNF Alumni Network and Student Affairs Community Council.

Brooks College of Health: In partnership with Don Hutton (Brooks Liaison) and the Health Administration Leadership Institute program, TLI will be supporting the coordination of numerous on-campus events and developing a HALI and TLI Leadership Certificate program strategy. In collaboration with Dr. Julie Merten, we will be infusing our leadership courses within the Brooks College of Health minor.

UNF Library: Throughout the year, we have been asked to conduct leadership development training to help build teamwork and increase collaboration amongst staff/leadership- our first session was held on July 24th.

UNF Department of Diversity Initiatives: TLI Staff delivered comprehensive leadership development training to students in the Quest Program https://www.unf.edu/ddi/

UNF Athletics: We will be hosting monthly training sessions for all student athletes and select leaders from Hicks Honors College and the TLI minor with area leaders including financial literacy (Sun Trust Bank), Leadership 2.0 (Dale Carnegie Training), Public Speaking (TLI/COAS Team) and a variety of essential Leadership skills.
