CoCre8 Technology Solutions - Who We Are

Fujitsu is changing the way it operates in Africa with the establishment of CoCre8 Technology Solutions.

CoCre8, which is structured to achieve a Level 2 broad-based black economic empowerment (B-BBEE)

rating in its April audit, will look after Fujitsu’s interests in South Africa and English-speaking Africa. The South

African investment consortium which previously held 25% plus one share of the company has acquired the

balance of Fujitsu shareholding, creating a 100% locally-owned entity as from 1 April 2020.

We have successfully concluded a deal with Fujitsu Japan and have been appointed as the Exclusive Fujitsu

OEM representative within Africa from the 1st of April 2020.

As Exclusive OEM representative for Fujitsu in Africa, CoCre8 retains all its existing Fujitsu OEM alliances

with vendors. Partnering is central to CoCre8’s business model, and it will continue with its current go-to-market

strategy, but with increased investment into the partner ecosystem.

Technology & Innovations for SAP Customers: Persistent Memory for SAP HANA

1. Intel Optane Persistent Memory (PMem) boosts operations

Enables much faster reboots and system recoveries due to persistent memory (more than factor 10 !!!)

Higher uptime for HANA systems, esp. for business critical, productive systems

Risk mitigation and easier operations in data centers

2. Intel Optane PMem boosts space

CPU‘s supported amount of memory per CPU isincreasing by factor 3 !!! (1.5TB => 4.5TB) – or more

3. Intel Optane PMem lowers TCO

Optane PMem modules are cheaper per GB than DRAM

Some use cases:

Better business continuity for applications with critical load times

Consolidation of HANA Multi-node to large Single-node systems (scale-out to scale-up) Source:

Intel Optane PMem – Memory Mode SupportSAP Announcement

SAP Note: 2954515

Intel has announced the availability of Intel Optane Persistent Memory (PMem) on April 2nd, 2019.

Since HANA SPS 03, Intel Optane PMem is supported in the AppDirect Mode for SAP HANA production and non-production environments.

Starting with this note, SAP extends the support of Intel Optane PMem beyond AppDirect Mode to two (2) additional PMem modes of operation.

Intel Optane PMem - Memory Mode

Intel Optane PMem - Mixed Mode (AppDirect + Memory Mode)

Until further notice, the use of the new modes of operations is supported under the following conditions:

Intel Optane PMem Memory Mode & Mixed Mode is supported on TDI systems only.

Memory Mode and Mixed Mode is supported for Non-Production Systems only.

The support of the new modes of operations with Intel Optane PMem for Non-Production Systems are limited to the Intel 2nd Generation Xeon

(Cascade Lake) with Intel Optane PMem 100 Series (Apache Pass) only.

Intel & SAP are looking for Customers interested in using Optane PMem in Memory Mode

Please reach out to us, for support and information may needed.

244 “62% less cost per system” and “67% node consolidation” claims are compared to a DRAM-only configuration. For details, see Endnotes.

The synergy between SAP HANA, Intel Xeon Scalable processors, and Intel Optane persistent memory (PMem) enhances

application responsiveness, latency, and performance so that large amounts of data are processed and scanned at blazing speeds,

giving businesses a single source of truth.
