For vehicles with automatic trans-mission, Unsnap and remove smallertrim-ring from around shifter.(Figure A)

For vehicles with manual transmis-sion, Unscrew and remove shifter knob. (Figure A)

6 Remove (2) screws above the radioand (2) screws below the radio. Alsoremove (2) screws securing theradio/trim panel assembly. (Figure E)

Remove (4) screws securing theradio to the trim panel and removethe radio.

Remove (8) screws securing thefactory brackets to the radio andremove the brackets from theradio. (These brackets are requiredfor stacked ISO and double DINinstallations. You can skip this stepfor DIN or ISO installations withpocket).

Unplug and remove the radio / trimpanel assembly. (Figure F)

Attach the radio / housing assemblyto the radio trim panel using thefactory screws removed duringdisassembly. (Figure C)

Slide the radio into the DIN cage untilit snaps into place. (Figure B)

Secure DIN cage to radio housing bybending the locking tabs outward.(Figure A)

Snap the ISO trim-plate onto the frontof the assembled radio and housing.(Figure B)

NOTE: To remove the radio unsnap andremove the ISO trim-plate. Using a flatblade screwdriver disengage ISObrackets from the radio housing andslide radio out of radio housing.

Continue to final assembly.

Align the holes in the ISO brackets withthe holes in the radio. Mount thebrackets to the radio using screwssupplied with the radio. (Figure A)

Slide the radio bracket assembly intothe radio housing until it snaps intoplace. (Figure B)

Place one of the ISO spacer bracketsand the left factory mounting bracket(removed from radio during disas-sembly) on the left side of the radio.The spacer bracket should bebetween the radio and the factorybracket. Align the pins on the trim-plate with the holes on the factorybracket and mount the factorybracket to the radio using screwssupplied with the radio. (Figure B)

Continue to final assembly.

Cut and remove center divider fromdouble DIN trim-plate. (Figure A)

Place the double DIN trim-plate onthe front of the radio. (Figure B)

Attach the radio bracket assembly tothe radio trim panel using thefactory screws removed duringdisassembly. (Figure C)

Place one of the ISO spacer bracketsand the right factory mountingbracket (Removed from radio duringdisassembly) on the right side of theradio. (The spacer bracket should bebetween the radio and the factorybracket.) Align the pins on the trim-plate with the holes on the factorybracket and mount the factorybracket to the radio using screwssupplied with the radio. (Figure B)

Place one of the ISO spacer brack-ets and the left factory mountingbracket (Removed from radio duringdisassembly) on the left side of theISO units. (The spacer bracketshould be between the ISO unitsand the factory bracket.) Align thepins on the trim-plate with theholes on the factory bracket andmount the factory bracket to theISO units using screws suppliedwith the radio. (Figure A)

Place the double DIN trim-plate onthe front of the two ISO units.(Figure A)

Attach the assembled units andbrackets to the radio trim panel usingthe factory screws removed duringdisassembly. (Figure B)

Place one of the ISO spacer bracketsand the right factory mountingbracket (Removed from radio duringdisassembly) on the right side of theISO units. (The spacer bracketshould be between the ISO units andthe factory bracket.) Align the pinson the trim-plate with the holes onthe factory bracket and mount thefactory bracket to the ISO units usingscrews supplied with the radio.(Figure A)

FINAL ASSEMBLY

1 Locate the factory wiring harness in the dash and make the connection as shown. Metra recomends using the proper mating adapter and making the connections asshown. (Isolate and individually tape off the ends of any unused wires to preventelectrical short circuit.)

2 Re-connect the negative battery terminal and test the unit for proper operation.

Reassemble radio and dash assemblies in reverse order of disassembly.

Make wiring connections using the EIA color code chart shown below and the instructions included with the headunit. Metra recommends making connections as shown below; Strip, Splice, Solder, Tape. Isolate and individuallytape off ends of any unused wires to prevent electrical short circuit.
