6. Remove the relay box (two bolts), and remove thebolt that fastens the air cleaner housing cover.
7. Remove the pin from the clip, and measure andcut off the pins in the area shown.
8. Attach the sensor assembly to the stay on thebumper beam using two clips and two pins.
9. Route the sensor harness 2-pin connector throughthe front bulkhead along the vehicle harness.

13. Near the battery, continue routing the sensorharness along the vehicle harness, and secure itto the vehicle harness with four wire ties.
14. Lift the air cleaner housing cover upward, androute the sensor harness toward the rear, alongthe vehicle harness.
10. Pull the hood lock cover, and route the sensorharness 2-pin connector toward the center of thevehicle along the vehicle harness. Plug the sensorharness 2-pin connector into the sensor 2-pinconnector.
11. Push the sensor harness clip into the hole on thesensor bracket.
12. Pull the hood lock cover, and secure the sensorharness to the vehicle harness with five wire tiesin the areas shown.

15. Under the relay box, locate the vehicle 3-pinconnector blue-taped to the vehicle harness, andremove the blue tape to free the connector.Connect the sensor harness 3-pin connector intothe 3-pin connector you just freed. Secure thesensor harness to the vehicle harness with wireties in the areas shown.

18. Remove the fuse box cover, and install the fuse(3A) provided into the No. 33 slot of the fuse box.
16. Remove the driver’s dashboard lower cover:
• Remove the self-tapping screw.
• Release the four clips on the left side first bypulling out on the driver's dashboard lowercover.
• After releasing the four clips, insert the flat-tipscrewdriver between the clip and thedashboard frame. Gently twist the screwdriverto release the clip.
• Release the two clips on the right side.
• Unplug the vehicle connector, and remove thelower cover.
17. If equipped, remove the driver’s dashboard undercover (release the three retaining clips, one pin,and one holder).

19. Attach the two fuse labels (2A) to the fuse caseson the unit harness.
20. Plug the 6-pin connector of the unit harness intothe fuse box.
NOTE: If the 6-pin connector is already being usedby another accessory, locate the 6-pin connectortaped to that other accessory harness. Removethe tape and dummy connector from that otheraccessory harness. Plug the unit harness 6-pinconnector into the other accessory harness.
21. Loosen the vehicle ground bolt, and install the unitharness ground terminal with this bolt.
22. Plug the unit harness 22-pin connector into thecontrol unit.

23. On the left side of the steering hanger pipe, slidethe control unit onto the vehicle bracket that holdsthe cruise control unit.
With Cruise Control Unit:
Without Cruise Control Unit:
Install the unit bracket to the stay on the steeringhanger pipe with a washer-bolt, and slide thecontrol unit onto the unit bracket.
NOTE: If the 3-pin connector is already being usedby another accessory, locate the 3-pin connectortaped to that other accessory harness. Removethe dummy connector from that other accessoryharness. Plug the unit harness 3-pin connectorinto that other accessory harness.
24. On the left side of the steering shaft, locate the3-pin connector black-taped to the vehicleharness, and connect the unit harness 3-pinconnector into that 3-pin connector.

27. Check that all wire harnesses are routed properlyand all connectors are plugged in.
28. Reinstall all removed parts. Check that all clipsand fasteners are installed securely.
29. Reconnect the negative cable to the battery.
30. Enter the customer’s radio anti-theft code, andreset the radio station presets.
31. Reset the clock.
32. Check the operation of the outside temperaturegauge according to the outside temperature gaugeOwner's Manual.
NOTE: Whenever the battery is disconnected, thedriver’s window AUTO function is disabled.
33. Start the engine. Push down on the driver’swindow switch until the window is fully open.
34. Pull up on the driver’s window switch to close thewindow completely, then hold the switch for2 seconds or more.
35. Test the driver's AUTO window function.
25. Secure the unit harness to the vehicle harnesswith five wire ties in the areas shown.
26. Attach the fuse label (3A) over No. 33 on the backof the fuse box cover.
