1 Introduction
Deutsche Telekom AG (DTAG) and its company units increasingly exchange electronic business documents
with their business partners.
As electronic integration for the business partners is generally very complex however, they have, to date, lacked
the facility to process these documents simply and cost-effectively.
The Order Management Tool (OMT) is DTAG’s simple and freefreefreefree solution for small and medium-sized companies
facilitating completely electronic integration without these companies having to have their own integration
platforms.
DTAG’s OMT is used by the business partner to receive, process and send electronic documents.
The OMT user interface adjusts to the relevant document format and thus allows the user to process every
format in the same way.
Tedious training periods are no longer required.
Even inexperienced users of the Order Management Tool find it easy and quick to process digital business
documents.

3 Installation Types
The Order Management Tool setup gives you 3 different installation options:
♦ Single-user installation
♦ Server installation
♦ Client installation (installed server version is a precondition)
Installation Manual Order Management Tool V17.doc Version 17, 18.06.2009, final Page 4
4 Multi-User Scenario (Client Server)
In principle, the OMT can be divided into two components.
The first component “OMT file interface” establishes the connection with our document server.
It receives and transfers the documents (OMT server).
The transfer is fully automatic and takes place once every 60 min (default setting).
The second component “OMT GUI” is the user interface, with which users can view and edit the documents.
This is also used to create the response documents and to transfer files to the OMT file interface for dispatch
(OMT client).
In the case of single-user installation, both components are installed on the workplace computer.

5 System Requirements
In order to be able to use the Order Management Tool, all installations require Internet access.
This is to enable communication with our central routing system, but also so that the application can be
updated both on the server and on the client side.
The clients can also be kept up-to-date via a News section on the start screen.
As the application uses parts of the Internet Explorer 6.0 program, this version is the minimum requirement.
Acrobat Reader, the free application from Adobe, is also required to convert the documents to PDF format (for
viewing and printing).
Processor speed and available disk space depend on the number of business documents to be processed.
The application itself requires approx. 60 MB of hard disk space.
The size of an individual document is approx. 20-25 KB, i.e. for 1000 documents you require 25 MB of memory.
Furthermore, Microsoft Office 2000/XP/2003 or higher is required to handle any file attachments.
The tool can run on the following versions of Microsoft Windows: NT/2000/XP/2003
5.1 Internet Program Access
5.1.1 OMT
The OMT itself (BusinessConnector20.exe) accesses the start page on the Internet via an integrated Internet
Explorer, so that it can also display the News (center part of the start page).
When using a proxy server, therefore, you may be asked to enter a password when starting the OMT.
Should access not be possible here, the news is not displayed (not critical). This is simply a matter of calling up
a website via port 80 as normal.
The proxy settings are accepted by Internet Explorer.
5.1.2 FileClient
The FileClient service accesses the Internet to exchange data with the CPEx.
Access takes place via
"Addins\FileClient\FileClientService.exe"
and
"Addins\FileClient\SendAndReceive.exe".
The proxy server settings saved in the FileClient.ini file are used here.
The SendAndReceive.exe file is called up once once once once each time the OMT is started; the FileClientService.exe is
started once every hour (default) as a Windows service.
Installation Manual Order Management Tool V17.doc Version 17, 18.06.2009, final Page 6
Both files use the same functions from the FileClientConnector.dll library to establish the connection with the
CPEx.
The connection is established as a web service (HTTP with SOAP) on port 443 (SSL).
Note:
Older versions of this program part experienced problems with some firewalls and proxy servers.
The corrected version writes everything to an entry in the fileClient.log, in the mode of "Storeserver OMT-
FileClient ... ...Version 1.41 Network".
5.1.3 Updater
The updater (Update.exe) offers functions to update the software.
Here Internet Explorer’s own function "URLDownloadToFile" is used to download updates from the Internet.
Access takes place via HTTP, port 80. The program is executed in “silent mode” every time the OMT is started,
to check whether a new version is available.
As a result of this application you may also be asked for a user name/password, if your company is using a
proxy authentication. The proxy settings are accepted by Internet Explorer.
Note: The older version of this program part experienced problems with some special proxy servers. The
corrected version has the version number >= 1.1.59.
Please update your installation, if required.

8 Extension of an Existing Single-User Version to
a Multi-User Version
If you have previously installed the single-user version and wish to use a multi-user version in the future, simply
follow the steps below:
For the server components, you ideally need a dedicated server.
First install the OMT software on the server.
Then start the Setup Setup Setup Setup wizardwizardwizardwizard.
On Screen 2 of the wizard, select the Network ServerNetwork ServerNetwork ServerNetwork Server option.
The OMT software must likewise be installed on each and every computer, on which employees intend to work
with the OMT.
After starting the Setup wizardSetup wizardSetup wizardSetup wizard on the relevant employee’s computer, please select the Network ClientNetwork ClientNetwork ClientNetwork Client option.
It should be possible to update all installations regularly so that the latest version is always available.
It is therefore important to ensure an appropriate assigment of rights.

11 Automatic Installation
The Setup wizard uses a “normal” install script – InstallShield setup. Thus you can use all InstallShield options (e.g. OMT_Setup.exe /s for a silent installation).
Please note in this respect that once the installation is complete, a configuration wizard writes the configuration
settings to the FileClient.ini file in the directory
C:\Programme\Storeserver BusinessConnector 2.0\Addins\FileClient.
Moreover after successful configuration, the file configuration.doneconfiguration.doneconfiguration.doneconfiguration.done is written to the directory
C:\Programme\Storeserver BusinessConnector 2.0.
This dummy file prevents the Setup wizard from restarting automatically after the first installation.

Installation Manual Order Management Tool V17.doc Version 17, 18.06.2009, final Page 37
29 What is a Proxy?
A proxy communicates with the Internet as a representative or proxy for your Internet application (normally a
web browser). Here, the requested and transmitted data (web pages) are stored locally on the proxy.
Consequently, subsequent access to the same data can take place very quickly from this local copy. A proxy
accelerates and reduces data traffic to the Internet within the proxy’s user community.

Please change the prepopulated address, if you would like to connecting the OMT with the testing system.
Installation Manual Order Management Tool V17.doc Version 17, 18.06.2009, final Page 46
Additionally you have to complete the line with an additional RFC userpassword: RFC_Password=cpextest File to change: FileClient.ini Location: e.g.: C:\Programme\Storeserver BusinessConnector 2.0\Addins\FileClient
Please make sure that the entry will be removed again if you change to the live system. Also make sure that the passwords (Password=) for the user in the live and the testing system will be different. Also don’t forget to delete the line with the RFC_Password again, if you are connected to the live system. Please see the following chapter.

36 Setup connection of the OMT to the testing system
For the setup of OMT with connection to the testing system you have to do some changes in the file FileClient.ini. This changes have to be removed if you change back to the live system. You can find the FileClient.ini-file normally under: C:\Programme\Storeserver BusinessConnector 2.0\Addins\FileClient The drive is the standard local drive. Maybe its also installed under Program Files. You have to do the following changes in the FileClient.ini-file (see screenshot): 1. Change of the access address
You have to change the default connection address to live system. You need to insert an hyphen and a “t” behind https://cpex. The rest of the address will be unchanged. The right address to the testing systems is. https://cpex-t.telekom.de/DocumentProcessorWS/DocumentProcessorWSConfig?style=document
2. Insert RFC_Password-line You have to insert a new line under the still existing password-line. The content of the new line will be: RFC_Password=cpextest
You should test the connection to the testing system to be sure that it works. You could test the connection with the SendAndReceive.exe and control your effort in the FileClient.log-File. Both you can find under C:\Programme\Storeserver BusinessConnector 2.0\Addins\FileClient. Please, follow these steps to test the connection:
Installation Manual Order Management Tool V17.doc Version 17, 18.06.2009, final Page 48
1. Activate the SendAndReceive.exe via double click. Now you can see the hourglass appears for a short moment.
2. Opening of the FileCLient.log Please open the FileClient.log and scroll down to the last entry. You should read here the following entry:
XX.XX.2009 XX:XX:XX INFO:Description:Storeserver OMT-FileClient periodical function to get new documents from the server and send pending documents to the server starts…. XX.XX.2009 XX:XX:XX INFO:Description:No new documents for user-account 'S_XXXXXX available…
This entry means that the service for retrieving an sending of documents of the OMT has been activated. There are no new documents for download on the testing system. But you know that the login was successful.
This message tell you that the connection to the testing system is ok. If you want to change from the testing system to the live system you have to remove the changes again.
