Betcy Vincent, a graduate student from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburg, PA, workedwith the Communications and Product Services Group and studied the third generationmobile market.

Tao-Li, an Economics Major from Claremont McKenna College worked with the CorporatePlanning Department in refining the risk management process of the company. He helped indeveloping an integrated quantitative framework for measuring and managing the risksfaced by the corporation.

Tariq Aftab, a Post Graduate Student of Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology,Delhi, worked on a project for Component Adaptation in Java at SETLabs. Tariq’s projectinvolved developing an adaptation technique for independently developed software

components, which would satisfy the requirements that a software adaptation needs tofulfill.

Suresh Dalai an M.B.A. from Columbia

University, New York, undertook a study for

the corporate marketing department. The

study was part of an initiative to increase

I nf os ys ’ p re se nce i n Ja pa n an d t o

significantly augment the contribution from

the region. The objectives of the study were

to assess the potential of various vertical

segments & suggest new services that could

be introduced. Suresh’s study is currently

b ei ng u se d as a b as is f or a r ef in ed

marketing plan for the Asia Pacific region.
