SHREI Presention 6.8.13

“This class made me step back and appreciate the fact that I have civil RIGHTS. I can’t believe my whole life I never realized how lucky I was to be able to do the simplest things like go to school, choose whom I marry, wear what I want to wear, and be able to have a job. I learned how to feel empathy for those who may seem like the “bad guys”. I learned that the way I go living my life everyday was learned based off of the culture I grew up in and the people that surround me. I learned that everyone deserves forgiveness and a second chance. I learned that even America has its dirty little secrets. This class was the reason I finally decided what I want to do in life.”
