INTRODUCTION MidSys is designed to integrate the back-office applications with the SWIFT interface. It supports batch mode processing. It reads the back-office files which can be supplied in simple text format, excel sheets, XML or database tables, checks the contained messages and converts them into SWIFT format and provide them ready to be sent over SWIFT system. HOW IT WORKS e proprietary format of the files and transactions is defined to the application using a user-friendly interface. e administra- tor specifies the fields types, structure, fields delimiters and sequence. He/she can also define table of substitution for non-SWIFT characters and for utilized code words. MidSys performs the following actions: - Checks the fields and map them to the SWIFT fields of the message. - Checks for non-SWIFT characters and replace them. - Checks for non-SWIFT code words and replace them. - Checks for missing mandatory fields and add them as speci- fied. - Converts the message and the file to SWIFT internal format. - Handles interrelated messages, as the case with MT940 /MT950, where the number of interrelated messages varies depending on the number of transactions in the statement. Similarly, the received SWIFT messages are converted to the back-office proprietary format. Audit trial and error log file is generated with records of the performed transaction and indication of the encountered errors. e package is customized to consider the particularity of any specific message type. e transactions read from the back-office are converted to SWIFT format and stored in files with special authentication (SWIFT LAU). e Automatic File Transfer component of the SWIFT Alliance automatically reads the converted files, checks for authentica- tion and inserts the included message in the specified SWIFT queue to be sent to SWIFT or for further approval and process- ing. e integration between MidSys and the SWIFT interface is accomplished using the Automatic File Transfer (AFT) compo- nent and if required, it can be customized to use the MQ-Series for SWIFT Alliance MQSA or SWIFT SOAP adapter. INTRODUCTIONMidSys is designed to integrate the back-oce applications with the SWIFT interface. It supports batch mode processing. It reads the back-oce les which can be supplied in simple text format, excel sheets, XML or database tables, checks the contained messages and converts them into SWIFT format and provide them ready to be sent over SWIFT system.

HOW IT WORKSe proprietary format of the les and transactions is dened to the application using a user-friendly interface. e administra-tor species the elds types, structure, elds delimiters and sequence. He/she can also dene table of substitution for non-SWIFT characters and for utilized code words.

MidSys performs the following actions:

- Checks the elds and map them to the SWIFT elds of the message.

- Checks for non-SWIFT characters and replace them.

- Checks for non-SWIFT code words and replace them.

- Checks for missing mandatory elds and add them as speci-ed.

- Converts the message and the le to SWIFT internal format.

- Handles interrelated messages, as the case with MT940 /MT950, where the number of interrelated messages varies depending on the number of transactions in the statement.

Similarly, the received SWIFT messages are converted to the back-oce proprietary format. Audit trial and error log le is generated with records of the performed transaction and indication of the encountered errors. e package is customized to consider the particularity of any specic message type. e transactions read from the back-oce are converted to SWIFT format and stored in les with special authentication (SWIFT LAU).

e Automatic File Transfer component of the SWIFT Alliance automatically reads the converted les, checks for authentica-tion and inserts the included message in the specied SWIFT queue to be sent to SWIFT or for further approval and process-ing.

e integration between MidSys and the SWIFT interface is accomplished using the Automatic File Transfer (AFT) compo-nent and if required, it can be customized to use the MQ-Series for SWIFT Alliance MQSA or SWIFT SOAP adapter.
