    IntegriWISE

    IntegriWISE is a Fitness-For-Service (FFS) assessmentsoftware tool designed by TWI to assist engineers inevaluating the integrity of ageing pipework, pipelines,storage tanks, boilers, pressure vessels and hightemperature equipment. It is the fastest and easiest

    software tool to undertake FFS assessments.IntegriWISE is designed to help calculate

    and record FFS assessments forindustrial plants and equipment.

    FFS assessments are conductedto assess the structuralintegrity of a component, andits suitability for continuedservice under the sameor changing conditions.Procedures such as API579/ASME FFS-1 enablethe integrity of critical

    components and weldedstructures to be assessedagainst different failure modes,

    using a validated engineeringapproach. The methods can be used

    to support design, fabrication, operation,change-of-service, and life extension

    programmes, and are employed in a range ofindustries.

    FFS assessment is widely used as part of the plant lifemanagement process, to increase availability, reliability,efficiency and safety. The FFS concept has becomeaccepted practice throughout the engineering communityfor asset integrity management.

    IntegriWISE is designed to assess pressure equipmentagainst different damage mechanisms such as generaland local metal loss, pitting corrosion, blisters, hydrogen

    damage, crack-like flaws and laminations. In addition,the system provides evaluation techniques for assessingresistance to brittle fracture.

    This software complements TWIs existing suite ofintegrity management software such as RiskWISE andCrackWISE, and can be integrated with other softwarepackages for additional features relating to asset integritymanagement.

    FFS Assessment, based on API 579-1/ASME FFS-1 2007 3day course covers Level 1 (for plant inspectors) and Level 2 (forengineers) FFS assessments, in accordance with the latest editionof API 579, now issued as a joint API/ASME document, API 579-1/ASME FFS-1 2007.
