For this assignment you may use your class notes, class powerpoints on blackboard, the textbook chapters, or reputable online resources (i.e. Met Timeline). It is due to me by email by 9pm on May 20. While there is no need to cite specific facts or information to complete the assignment, if you do decide to incorporate quotes or wording from other sources, be sure to follow correct citation procedures to avoid issues of plagiarism. Please write an explanation describing the how the artwork fits with the artistic techniques of the movement in question (think about brushstroke, subject matter, naturalism, etc.). I do not want an artist or specific date (though you should include a general idea of the time of the movement). These are not paintings that we have looked at in class. Rather the answer should be based off of your visual observations alone and your understanding of the movements we have discussed in class. Specific historical information will not be helpful here.

Part II: Short Answer (250 words)

Perspective was a key invention of the Renaissance. Using the three images below, discuss the way that the use of perspective in Cubism relates to the way artists thought of space in the Medieval period and Renaissance.
