House groups have been practising a waiata specific to their house group and will sing it to an audience

School Organisation for 2016 The school organization for next year has been finalized. As long as we

don’t receive too many more enrolments, the arrangement of classes will be

as follows:

HOLIDAY SURF PROGRAMME AT OREWA & TAWHARANUI Good news! We're running our popular holiday surf programme at Orewa and

Tawharanui over the school holidays. The surf programme lasts one week and aims

to teach not only the fundamentals of how to surf but how to enjoy the water in

safe manner, teaching water safety, surf etiquette and hazard awareness.

In addition we have heaps of fun and the kids make a ton of friends with

similar interests (beats the X-box hands down!)

YOU ARE INVITED TO

A COMMUNITY

WORKSHOP The Rodney Local Board wants to

make sure that the old

Wellsford Library is used in a

way that meets community needs

and reflects what the community

wants. Earlier this year the

council called for applications

from community groups who

Two applications have been

received, but before making a

final decision on the use of the

building, the Rodney Local Board

is keen to have another

conversation with the Wellsford

community. If you would like to

attend this facilitated workshop

at the Wellsford Community

Centre on Wednesday 16th

December 2015 from 5.00 -

7.00pm please RSVP by 14

December 2015 to [email protected]

A light supper will be provided.

TAKE CARE! Parents and caregivers are asked to remind students who walk home (under the

tunnel across SH 1) to look both ways at the top of

Batten Street and Matheson Road for any traffic

turning down these roads, before they step out to

cross to the footpath on the other side. Thanks!

Blue Light PCT Challenge Team 2015 A report back from the Police commended our team on the

fact that they were the only ones that talked and yelled

encouragement to each other around the PCT course. Their

team work and encouragement was outstanding.

Well done Shalynne, Ngarui, Jackson & Mackenzee!

When leaving a message on the school answerphone

about absences please remember to give the reason and

type of sickness your child has, or the reason they are

away that day, so our roll can be marked accordingly.
