HELPERS WANTED The Breakfast Club is run every morning from 8.00 to 8.45am,

in the school hall, for those students who require breakfast

before starting their school day. Volunteers are required to

help run this, especially from 8.30am to help with clearing up.

Please see Milo at the hall if you can be of assistance.

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

On Thursday 17 March, fifteen keen Wellsford School Year 7/8

students travelled to Tikipunga Sports Ground to compete in

the Northland South Zone Rippa Rugby tournament.

Our goal was simple: Make the top 6 (out of 15) to qualify for

finals day against the top 6 from Northland North Zone.

We had four really tough games, but came out on top with three wins

and one draw. We put this down to really good communication with each

other, and team work! Finals day is in two weeks and the competition

will be tougher, so more lunchtime trainings for us!

We would like to thank Daniel for coaching us, and the parents who transported us and cheered for us loudly whilst getting attacked by midgies! Results as follows: Tries (Mrs Dewes missed recording two tries in the

last game because she was too busy cheering!) - Macka 1, Jackson 1,

Callum 2, RJ 3, Brooklyn 1, Amber 4, Monique 1.

Game 1: Wellsford 3, Rawhitiroa 2 Game 2: Wellsford 3, Tikipunga 0

Game 3: Wellsford 4, Kamo5 4 Game 4: Wellsford 5, Kamo4 3

Parents and caregivers are reminded not to drive down the school driveway to drop off or collect students, before or after school, unless they are collecting a sick child from the sickbay during the school day.
