DIPLOMA OF INTERIOR DESIGN AND DECORATIONThis Nationally Accredited Diploma of Interior Design and Decoration will provide you with the practical skills and knowledge to thrive in the design industry and build a successful career as an Interior Designer. You will learn to create design concepts, communicate ideas confidently and deliver comprehensive and well-resolved interior schemes. Defining soft furnishings, room layouts, specifying colour, styling interiors and illustrating your ideas for both residential and commercial design projects. Gain technical skills in AutoCAD, sound knowledge in architectural history, hard materials and construction. Resulting in an extensive portfolio, essential industry contacts and the confidence to succeed as an interior designer. This course will immerse you in creativity at our custom made campuses in Sydney or Melbourne or via our interactive online platform.

LEARNING OUTCOMES• The ability to generate ideas and

concepts to create decorating solutions for interior spaces including materials and finishes, furniture layouts and materials boards for client presentations

• An understanding of client analysis and expectations for design projects including project coordination, fees and scheduling

• An extensive knowledge of colour theory and its application to design including interior scheming, finishes and the effects of lighting in interiors

• In-depth knowledge of soft furnishings, furniture and spatial design

• The ability to confidently source and style furniture and accessories in response to a client brief

• The ability to produce architectural drawings including perspective drawings, drafting and rendering and AutoCAD to communicate concepts

• Examine two and three-dimensional spatial planning

• Understand the hard materials and techniques used in the construction of built environments

PAYMENT OPTIONSYou can pay for your course upfront or by instalment plans. Alternatively VET student loans are available.

VET STUDENT LOANS VET Student Loans are available to domestic students who wish to study the MSF50213 Diploma of Interior Design and Decoration. Academy of Information Technology (AIT) RTO code 90511 trading as iscd delivering MSF50213. VET Student Loans are provided by the Australian Government to assist eligible students in the payment of part of their tuition fees. Eligibility criteria applies. For more information go to www.studyassist.gov.au. The Full Course fee is $17,280. The VET Student Loan amount is up to $10,000 and therefore there is a gap paid by the student to iscd (paid in instalments over the duration of your study). VET Student Loans will not be approved for students who do not meet eligibility requirements.
