Exchange Programs offer you the opportunity to study at an international partner institution that has an exchange agreement with King’s University College. These are short-term programs that allow you to go on exchange for a summer course, for one term/semester, or for an academic year. In return, students from the partner institution may study at your home institution. During your exchange period you remain registered at King’s and your course credits may be transferred to your degree at King’s. King’s students are also eligible to go on academic ex-change through Western or another affiliate university college.

Exchange programs are open to both Canadian and international students. All students must be registered as full-time, paying full tuition to their home university while on exchange. Before you go you will research academic programs at the partner university to ensure that they have courses that will transfer back to your King’s/Western degree.

Applicants will be notified with a decision about their exchange by the end of February.

After you have researched opportunities and courses, King’s International advisors and Academic Counsellors will meet with you to ensure you are selecting courses that are compatible with your degree requirements at King’s University College.

You can research King’s partners and download an exchange application at:

“Going to school in England was a dream I had since grade 9, and after six years, that dream came true. I faced this challenge with no fear or hesitation. I spent one year away from home, and it was the best experience I have ever had. I gained a new sense of wonder, a new sense of self, and a new sense of the world. The Exchange Program is one of the reasons I chose King’s, and I would encourage everyone to take advantage of it because studying abroad will change your life.”

Daniella Elyse Poloni

Program: English Literature

Exchange Location: Leeds Beckett University, United Kingdom

“As a student who has lived at home for my education at King’s, signing up for the

International Exchange program was an exciting, nerve-racking and unforgettable experience. Never

would I have thought that my semester in Sydney, Australia would offer me all that it has.

Living and studying all the way across the world, outside of my comfort zone, forced me to analyze

myself and who I want to be. It was a massive opportunity for personal growth and development

that allowed me to become a more independent and stronger person.” Christine Bere
