3. Type of test: Minimum user performance of 12 hours +2 to +8 Deg.C, in an ambient temperature of 16 Deg.C
4. Test Method:
1. Five pieces of HTBH285 IceBricks containing water + SAP (Self Absorbent Polymer) wereplaced in a freezer set at - 15 deg. C, for a period of 24 hrs.
2. A vaccine load consisting of 6 layers of packed vaccine vials was prepared and placed in a refrigerator set at 2 deg.C, for a period of 24 hours.

Ratio Cold Space Volume to Payload Volume: 2.03
1 X Class A RTD Temperature sensor was placed at the geometric centre of the toplayer, and 1 x RTD sensor was placed at the geometric centre of the fourth layer.
3. The HTIceBricks were removed from the freezer and conditioned by laying flat in room temperature until the surface temperature reached 0 deg.C.
4. The HTIceBricks were placed in the pockets, an RTD Sensor placed centrally 50 mm
below the top HTIceBrick, and the lid was closed and secured.
5. On the cold space temperature reaching +2 deg.C, the vaccine pack was removed from the refrigerator, and placed in the cold space
6. The RTD sensor leads were taken out through a rear corner of the lid, connected to a calibrated Laboratory Class Data Recorder, and the lid secured with the Velcro fixings.
7. The AL-40 (NHS) Cold Chain Box was was placed in a thermal test facility at an average ambient temperature of +23oC.

The cold life performance meets and exceeds the requirements, giving a large margin for safety in emergency situations, or higher ambient temperatures.
