Acocex (Spanish Association of International Trade Consultants), IICE (Instituto

Internacional del Conocimiento Empresarial) and Juan Ramon Suarez Terol

(Consultant and Lecturer within the international trade area and founder member of

Acocex), are happy to announce the launch of the English online version of

International Markets Strategy Course.

This course is entirely developed in English and focused on the key issues involved in

international trade.

1. Course outline and objectives

The course priority goal is to provide the business community with the basic

knowledge and skills when facing global markets.

Three are the main goals:

The participant should be able to understand in more depth all the concepts

involved in business internationalization

The participant should have a good command of the main language used in

international trade

The participant will acquire the main abilities and skills for a future

international position at the company.

2. Who would benefit from this course? Who

should attend?

The course is aimed at decision makers, entrepreneurs, businesspeople and individual

professionals with current or potential future responsibilities in international markets.

3. Methodology

The methodology selected is Online Tutor supported learning.

The sessions are supported by an online tutor, webinars, video sessions and learning

materials online.

Online learning is flexible but we have decided to undertake one unit a week as a

reference. However, we want to leave the student certain flexibility due to

the reason that most of them have to adapt the course to other professional or

personal duties. For that reason, we propose December 23rd as the deadline to

complete the course and get the diploma.

It will be a combination of international trade theory concepts and case study

application to real life situations related to every topic.

Every unit will be illustrated with 3 specific case studies based on Spanish and foreign

companies experiences in global markets.

4. Course Contents

We have selected 10 key points as the main references within the internationalization process:

1. New world order in international trade 2. Key international decisions to be made by the company 3. Why should my company be an international player? 4. Potential problems generated by our international presence 5. Factors determining international competitiveness 6. How to assess a market attractiveness 7. Which markets to enter 8. How to enter a target market. 9. Do we need to adapt our company and products to global markets? 10. Main mistakes in international markets

5. Time and dates

Starting November 1st 2013 and finishing April 1st 2014

The course will have a m i n i m u m duration of 50 hours provided as online T u t o r

Supported Learning.

6. Course Fees

295 euros

The course is eligible to be granted by Fundacion Tripartita and can be managed by our

experts (formacion bonificada para empleados).

7. Enrollment and entry requirements

Entry Requirements: You can enter into the International Markets Strategy Course if

you have a professional focus or personal interest in international trade. The purpose

of this course is for people to get started in international trade strategy. A medium

level of English is required.

8. Qualifications

Participants that have passed the course will receive a Diploma from Acocex (The

Spanish Association of International Trade Consultants).

Besides, the participant will be eligible to apply for membership in our body of

international trade practitioners (Acocex Associate title) and entry to our future

Certified International Trade Professional. This qualification is now in process of design

and is thought to be the only official recognition in international trade in Spain, being

Acocex the official body coordinating this qualification.
