International Military-Technical Forum “ARMY-2021” is organized by the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation and held in Patriot Expo (Moscow Region) from 22 till 28 of August 2021. The main events of the Forum are also held at the Alabino Military-Training Grounds, Kubinka Air Base as well as in all military districts and at the Northern Fleet.

The Forum will consist of the exhibition display, demonstration and congress programs. Moreover Forum “Army-2021” will be held jointly with the 7th International Army Games. The simultaneous start of two major events will allow to further expand the geography of the Forum and additionally involve the representatives of foreign defence agencies

as well as enhance negotiations within international defence community. The Games competitions will enrich and diversify the demonstration program of the Forum and show the audience a spectacular display of weapons, armament and military equipment not to be seen elsewhere in the world.

The results of Forum “ARMY-2020” show that the exhibition part of the Forum occupied the total area of 320 000 sq.m. both indoor and outdoor with more than 350 units of armament and military equipment of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation. 1 457 companies and organizations exhibited in the Forum displaying 28 043 exhibits.

DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM

One of the distinguishing features of the Forum in 2021 will be a simultaneous holding of International Army Games. Some of the Games competitions will be included into the demonstration program of the Forum. This decision will make the demonstration program more intense and interesting allowing to witness both Russian and foreign armament in action.

Aircluster of the Forum is represented at Kubinka Air Base traditionally being one of the key parts of the Forum. All the exhibitors and visitors can take part in Aircluster activities. In 2021 the static displayof advanced aircraft and modern military equipment will be significantly diversed, the flight program of modern aircraft and aerobatic teams performances

In 2020 Aircluster presented its diverse display including demonstration of aircraft within static display and flight program with due regard to target audience: limited access display for Minister of Defence, display export versions of the aviation equipment for official foreign delegations, as well as traditional air show for the general audience.

In 2021 within Forum “ARMY-2021” Kubinka Air Base will become a completely renewed venue comparable to full-scale aviation and aerospace exhibition competing with world leading airshows and ready to provide strong business opportunities as well as amaze the imagination of the visitors.

The Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federations pays considerable attention to the Aircluster of the Forum. Forum “ARMY” traditionally starts with a special visit of Russian Minister of Defence Sergei Shoigu to the Aircluster.

NAVY CLUSTER

Land Forces Cluster will demonstrate the firing capabilities of weapons and military equipment at the moving-target tank-gunnery range of the Alabino Military Training Grounds by firing from all types of weapons of tanks and military vehicles using various types of ammunition, including anti-tank guided missiles, in various modes (at a go, with short stops, from the board), and aiming at armored and unarmored targets.

The multifunctional shooting center of Patriot Park makes it possible to showcase the capabilities of advanced small-arms models.

The capabilities of weapons, military and special equipment to overcome water obstacles are demonstrated on the Komsomolskoye lake of the Alabino Military-Training Grounds. The demonstration program of Navy Cluster includes group maneuvering of combat vehicles afloat, display of the capabilities of assault river-crossing equipment, the actions of combat swimmers, as well as the rescue of people on the water.

CONGRESS PROGRAM

International Military-Technical Forum “ARMY” traditionally presents very extensive congress program. In 2020, within the framework of theForum, 186 congress events were held covering the most pressing issues of ensuring state defence, developing international military, military-technical and military-economic cooperation. 11 148 people took part in round-table discussions, conferences, briefings and business games, 2 598 of which were highly qualified experts.

THE MAIN CATHEDRAL OF THE RUSSIAN ARMED FORCES

THE MEMORY LANE MUSEUM COMPLEX

The Main Cathedral of the Russian Armed Forces is built in the Park «Patriot» in honor of the Resurrection of Christ, dedicated to 75th anniversary of the Victory in Great Patriotic War and the feats of arms of the Russian people in all the wars.

The Cathderal is designed in a monumental Russian style, which organically includes modern architectural approaches and innovations unique to the Orthodox сhurch building tradition. The facades of the building are finished with metal, the vaults are glazed. The walls are decorated with icons of the patron saints of the Russian army, images of battle scenes and heraldic signs on the stained-glass windows.

The height of the Cathedral, together with the cross, is 96.2 meters, which makes the Main Cathedral of the Armed Forces the third highest cathedral of the Russian Orthodox Church.

The Memory Lane museum complex is located inside the Patriot Park around the Main Cathedral of the Armed Forces of Russia. Its length equals to 1418 steps in memory of 1418 battles days and nights of the Great Patriotic War. Besides unique exhibits the Lane is designed by using a microphotography technology of millions of Great Patriotic War veterans’ photos.
