Baker Hughes introduces VECTRATM AFI axial-flaw inspection technology for long-seam threats Baker Hughes introduces VECTRA™ AFI axial-flaw inspection technology for long-seam threats as the newest member of

the VECTRA family of in-line inspection services. The new VECTRA AFI technology enables operators to identify hook

cracking, lack of fusion and corrosion anomalies, and more effectively manage the risk associated with long-seam welds and the overall integrity of their pipeline assets.

In 2012, Baker Hughes acquired the assets and circumferential/transverse field inspection (TFI) magnetic flux leakage

(MFL) technology of Intratech Inline Inspection Services Ltd. The new Baker Hughes VECTRA AFI technology will be produced in the larger diameter pipeline sizes, complete with speed-control and inertial-navigation capabilities.

For more than two decades, Baker Hughes pipeline inspection services have partnered with pipeline operators to manage integrity threats in liquid and gas pipelines, both onshore and offshore. The VECTRA AFI technology complements the Baker

Hughes Process and Pipeline

Services’ pipeline

integrity products, including solutions

for mechanical damage, metal

loss, cracking, bending strain,

geospatial location

and corrosion detection.

Baker Hughes is an

industry leader and

innovator of pipeline inspection

technology with a specialty in the

development of

high-conformance, high-resolution,

triaxial, inertial and speed-controlled

MFL technology.

Please stop by our booth #412 during IPE and learn more about VECTRA inspection solutions to fit your needs.
