International Student Interviews

Q: Why do you think its important for the science fair

to happen every year for our students as well as the

international students?

“Its an excellent opportunity for the ASMS students as well as

the international students to get together and actually

collaborate, to meet each other and talk about their research as

we have different research here to what they have in their

countries. What we would eventually like to happen is that

students here will be skyping, etc with people overseas and

working on the same projects because that will help people in

both countries.”

- Julie Cassidy.

Harin Ryoo, Korea Science Acade-my of KAIST, Busan, Korea.— “I've already seen it but the skies in Austral-ia are really beautiful and especially at night the stars are very bright in Australia. I want to learn about the stars and look at them because in Korea there are a lot of lights and you can’t see the stars as well.”

Q. What is the one thing you want to do before you leave and why?

Louis-etienne Gregorj, Lycee Laper-ouse, Lifou, New Caledonia— “I want to go shopping because in New Caledonia there are a lot of things you can’t buy and no big shopping centre and there is a lot of things that you can't find in New Caledonia.”
