OFFICE OF THE REGISTRAR International Student Recruitment Agreement with Rosedale Academy To: Curriculum and Program Review Committee From: Joe Stokes, University Registrar Re: Pathway Program Package Offers and EAP Partnership with Rosedale Academy Date: April 5, 2018 In an effort to increase the quality of UOIT’s undergraduate international applicant pool, and to increase our market share in emerging international regions including Latin America, the Office of the Registrar is proposing an admission based partnership with Rosedale Academy. Rosedale Academy is accredited by the Ministry of Education to offer credits and grant the OSSD diploma. Rosedale Academy partners with high schools and universities internationally to offer Ontario high school courses in a blended learning environment to students who are looking for academic preparation and pathway to Canadian universities. This agreement proposes two types of partnership between UOIT and Rosedale Academy: 1. Pathway Program Package Offers – Students entering the Rosedale program will be eligible to receive conditional admission to a UOIT undergraduate program packaged with their Rosedale admission. This partnership will provide a pathway for students to complete the OSSD pre- requisite subjects required for admission in their home country. Specific enrolment restrictions and program capacities will be discussed between Rosedale and UOIT on an annual basis. 2. English Language Pathway - This partnership would allow students in Rosedale Academy’s English Global Gateway program to enter Level 5 of the EAP program at the UOIT English Language Centre upon completion of the ESLE0 course at Rosedale with a 70% minimum.
