On behalf of International Students’ House for Women, University of Delhi, it is my pleasure to welcome you to ISHW. Started in 2002 ISHW is known for its values for last 16 years. ISHW is acclaimed for its outstanding contributions in bringing many nations under one roof. We continuously aspire to be a breading ground for new ideas and new cultures, promoting cultural harmony through our residents.
We urge everyone to join us in fostering an engrossing atmosphere in our house through exchange of thoughts and cultural views.
I am sure that our staff and residents will deliver with due diligence and together we will make the House a place for continued interactions and participation.

ABOUT ISHW
ISHW was established as the first women's International Hostel in Delhi. ISHW was founded on 3rd June 2002 by Professor Deepak Nayyar, Vice
Chancellor, University of Delhi (North Campus) to provide accommodation facilities to foreign students.
Over the years ISHW has proved to be a valuable experiment in International understanding and cosmopolitan living hosting students from over 60 countries and bringing them together under one roof.
98 Single Rooms/Seats:78 seats are reserved for the International Students (PG+UG) and 20 seats for the Indian Students.
University of Delhi maintained girls hostel. 20% grant funded by the UGC. ISHW has residential facilities for Warden and Resident Tutor and Non teaching staff-Type D Quarters : 6 Built up on ~ acres area.

A HOME AWAY FROM HOME : OUR FACILITES
WHY
ISHW ?
ISHW offers hostel facilities that are designed to provide a homely atmosphere to its
residents and staffs take care of residents as their guardian. Students are accorded
personal attention, based on their need and requirements. ISHW tries to provide a
homely care to its students in terms of following facilities:
Congenial atmosphere for studies
Great opportunity to develop managerial and social skills
Much higher records in terms of attendance, result & placements as compared to non-
hostellers
Increased opportunity for students to become team leader through various activities
Regular monitoring and caring by ISHW authorities
The House has a Visitors’ Lobby, Committee Room, Medical Room, Dining Hall,
Library, Reading Room, Lounge room (with LCD projector, big screen and sound
system), Badminton court, Internet Room, TV room, Gymnasium. There are Pantries
on every floor. The bathrooms in the House are equipped with solar heaters for hot
water through geyser & solar system. The House provides Wi-Fi facility to its
residents.
Bus Shuttle is available from ISHW Complex to the University (North) Campus from
morning till evening. First Aid Kit is available in the room of the security guard.
Residents are member of WUS Health Centre, (DU) and it works round the clock

ISHW ?
Purified & chilled RO water coolers are available on all the floors. Fully equipped pantry with electric heater, microwave, water dispenser, electric kettle, hot plate & two fridge’s (one for vegetarian residents & another for non vegetarian) on all the four floor. Separate ironing room is also available
Complete Gymnasium with modern equipments
Fully air conditioned dining hall
Washing of cloths of all the residents is done by our Laundry Attendant in the Laundry Room which consists of six (06) fully automatic washing machines
During shut down or power cut, electricity is available round the clock through our Genset in the entire complex of the hostel.
TV room for entertainment, education and sports

HOSTEL
The studying in the North Campus of the University of Delhi. It is located on Banda Bahadur Marg, opposite IndiraVihar in Mukherjee Nagar and is about 3.5 kms to the North-West of the North Campus. Elegantly designed and surrounded by lawns and flower beds, this three storied hostel has 98 furnished rooms for single occupancy. Wide and well lit balconies, galleries and bridges connect to make the House an integrated space. The building complex includes Fully air conditioned Library, Reading Room, Computer Room, Mess , GYM Room, TV Room Lounge Room, and the Administrative and Accounts wings equipped with Wi-Fi facilities.
The rooms of the residents, hostel gates and the residences of the Warden and Resident Tutor are connected through the House intercom. The House is provided with security staff for the safety of the residents of the complex.

COMPUTER ROOM Several computers with internet facility is available for all bona-fide residents.
READING ROOM ISHW has an air-conditioned reading room for study purpose for its residents. A well-lit furnish AC room provides good space for studying / reading.

TELEPHONE Intercom facility is available in all rooms so that one can connect from individual room. The incoming call facility is also available so that parents and local guardians can be in regular touch with the residents.
HEALTH / MEDICAL FACILITIES The Residents of the house are members of the W.U.S Health Centre which is situated within University Campus and it works round the clock.

SECURITY / CCTV The whole hostel campus is CCTV – enabled to provide a secure environment to its residents.

SPORTS FACILITIES A wide rang of sports facilities are available on hostel including Badminton, Football, Volleyball, Table Tennis, Carrom, Chess and Gym. Intra hostel sports tournaments are organized time to time.
