API 510, 570 & 653 PREPARATION ONLINE
TRAINING
Intertek Consulting & Training in Partnership with CKRC Training Solutions are exited to announce that we are now providing API 510, 570 & 653 inspector exam preparation courses. The courses are delivered through our unique blended learning approach using both online study with instructor led facilitation. The courses are designed to maximise API Inspector examina-tions first time success while minimising the impact that exam preparation will have on your working schedule. API Examinations are recognised worldwide and may be ar-ranged practically anywhere in the world provided sufficient participants are available and sufficient lead time is provided before the desired examination date, we are available to pro-vide assistance in securing you special site.
API 510 Pressure Vessel Inspectors The American Petroleum Institutes authorised Pressure Vessel Inspectors must have a broad knowledge base relating to maintenance, inspection, repair, and alteration of pressure vessels. The API Pressure Vessel Inspector Certification ex-amination is designed to determine if applicants have such knowledge. API 510 certification is valid for 3 years.
API 570 Piping Inspectors The American Petroleum Institutes authorised Pressure Vessel Inspectors must have a broad knowledge base relating to maintenance, inspection, repair, of in-service metallic piping systems. The API Piping Inspector Certification examination is designed to determine if applicants have such knowledge. API 570 certification is valid for 3 years.
API 653 Above Ground Storage Inspectors The American Petroleum Institutes initiated and Above Ground Storage Tank Inspector certification with the issuance of sup-plement 1 to API 653, Tank Inspections, repair, alteration, and reconstruction. The program was developed with the participa-tion of storage tank owner/users, and establishes a uniform national program that will assist state and local government in above storage tank regulations. API 653 certification is valid for 3 years.
REGULATIONS
Pressure Equipment Regulations
Organisations have the duty to provide a safe workplace and
safe working equipment to all their employees. If pressure
equipment fails in use, it can seriously injure or kill people
nearby and can cause serious damage to the property. In order
to avoid such risk, the Department of Labour has implemented
new regulations to ensure that health and safety regulations are
met for the prevention of any unintentional accidents.
BIOGRAPHY OF THE FACILITATOR
Paulo Pereira has been in-volved in the inspection industry
since 1982. With a Mechanical
Engineering background he
completed an MBA in 2000
through North West University.
Paulo was the Inspection Man-
ager for Sasol Plants in Sasol-
burg for 26 years.
Currently he is the Regional
Director of Intertek Industry Ser-
vices for Sub Saharan Africa and Chairman of the Association
of inspection Authorities. Additionally he is a Member of the
Department of Labour PER Forum, the SANS 347 and 10227
Technical Committees, and a SANAS Lead and Technical As-
sessor, as well as Chairman of the SANAS Technical Commit-
tee for Inspection Bodies.

BIOGRAPHY OF THE FACILITATOR
Kevin Maley is our subject matter expert and active
petrochemical, nuclear, boiler inspector, he has 15 years
experience as an inspector and trainer and most im-
portantly he is certified in all of the fields related to the
material being prepared. He has a unique ability to teach
this material from a practical and almost laymans point
of view to the most technical point of view, this allows
him to communicate our product and align its content to
a great variety of personalities, and allowing each to
appreciate and benefit from our product.
Kevin currently holds qualifications
for API510, 570, 653, 571 & 580.
