Guidelines for Parents/Gurus of candidates invited for interview/test for Cultural Talent Search

Scholarship Scheme (CTSSS) for the year 2017-18, for the children in the age group of 10-14 years.

Please refer to your application for the award of scholarship to your ward under the Cultural Talent Search

Scholarship Scheme of the Centre. Your ward has to appear for an interview/test in front of the Regional Selection

Committee, as per the schedule attached.

1. All candidates invited for Interview/Test must bring an original photo-identity proof (Photo I. Card) along

with original Date of Birth Certificate issued by the Office of the Registrar (Birth & Death) or any other

Govt. recognized Competent Authority, for verification at the time of Interview/Test. They have to ensure

fulfillment of all the eligibility conditions mentioned in the Application Form for CTSS Scheme 2017-18

on their own before coming for the Interview/Test as those candidates who are not eligible and do not

bring the above said original documents for verification, will not be allowed to appear and their Travelling

Allowance also will not be reimbursed.

2. The candidate and one escort will be paid to and fro 2nd class Sleeper Railway/Bus fare, whichever is less

from the nearest Rail/Bus Station of your city and venue of the Interview/Test, by the shortest route. No

local conveyance will be reimbursed. This facility will be available to the outstation candidates only. The

payment will be made at the time of interview/test on the production of Travelling Allowance bill in the

prescribed form (enclosed). Please attach original or photocopy of the ticket(s).

3. The candidates appearing in Music and Dance must bring their own instruments/accompanists/recorded

music (Different items in different cassettes/CDs) with Tape-recorder /CD Player etc. Candidates

appearing in Dance must come in their practice costumes. There is no requirement to appear in full dance

costume with make-up.

4. The candidates appearing in painting are required to bring their own sketch book and painting material i.e.

brushes, colours and drawing sheets etc. and those appearing in sculpture and craft, must bring their own

raw material.

5. The Centre does not provide any accommodation for stay at the venue of the interview/test. If any escort is

escorting more than one student/ward, he/she will be paid only one fare, to and fro.

6. Since the interview/test is being held to discover talent, therefore, it will be only for a short duration.

7. As the changes in the dates and venue of interview/test are not possible, therefore, no such requests will be entertained in any circumstances. Please note that it is mandatory to appear in the renewal test/interview

for further continuation of scholarship.
