Red Bull Southeast Region for Red Bull, would like to sponsor a Design Charrette in order to re-design an Red Bull RV trailer used for various events. This charrette called phase I, will include design plans for the interior and some exterior spaces for the trailer. FIU By Design and the Department of Interior Architecture have been asked to design and create conceptual plans and drawings that can be used by the client as a basis for future construction.

Overview The Design Charrette will investigate the potential for an upgrade to one (1) of the existing Red Bull RV trailers. The Charrette will be scheduled for the end of Fall Term of 2019 Start date Tuesday, November 12, 2019 This will be a (3) three-weeks charrette. The Charrette will kick off with a meeting at FIU to gain an initial understanding of the RV trailer layout and

the client. The exercise will be conducted in groups. A total of 6 groups with 5 students each. Students will develop their ideas into a series of design proposals that will be presented at different stages.

GoalThe final goal of the Charrette is to produce a design with the look & feel of the Red Bull brand in order for Red Bull to coordinate with their design/build team; plans, scale model(s), and interior architectural visions (3d renderings) of the Red Bull RV space. Student proposals are intended to catalyze possibilities for future construction. The design visions created by the studio will propose creative possibilities rather than finished design ideas

Red Bull Music FestivalsRed Bull RV trailers are bar trailers that travel around the US to cheer and entertain important sporting events and festivals around the nation.Red Bull Southeast Region wants to revamp their trailer! The idea is to refresh and revive the truck interior and exterior spaces by fixing what’s already there and adding some new exciting elements.

Exterior Requirements• Exterior design of furniture/fixtures layout to compliment proposed facades and create “Red Bull

Exterior Main GoalStudents need to design a sliding / locking system that can be attached to exterior facades so when this unit needs to represent a tiki bar one week, the following week they can swap into urban or any other façade very easily.

aboutInspired by functional drinks from the Far East, Dietrich Mateschitz founded Red Bull in the mid-1980s. He developed not only a new product but also a unique marketing concept and launched Red Bull Energy Drink in Austria on April 1, 1987. A completely new product category was born –energy drinks.

Red Bull is an energy drink sold by Red Bull GmbH, an Austrian company created in 1987. Red Bull has the highest market share of any energy drink in the world, with 6.790 billion cans sold in a year.

Red Bull is sold in a tall and slim blue-silver can. Originally only available in a single nondescript flavor and regular or sugar-free formulas, a line of "color editions" with artificial fruit flavors were added to the line beginning in 2013. The Red Bull company slogan is "Red Bull gives you wings“. Rather than following a traditional approach to mass marketing, Red Bull has generated awareness and created a 'brand myth' through proprietary extreme sport event series such as Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series, Red Bull Air Race, Red Bull Crashed Ice and stand-out stunts such as the Stratos space diving project.

Red Bull's marketing also includes multiple sports team ownerships (Formula One teams Red Bull Racing and Scuderia Toro Rosso, football clubs RB Leipzig, FC Red Bull Salzburg, FC Liefering, Red Bull Brazil and New York Red Bulls), celebrity endorsements, and music, through its record label Red Bull Records.

The deliverable (product) for this Scope of work shall be presented in 11”x17” (pdf format) and CD:

Diagrams. Concept Schemes RV Trailer existing design analysis. Program analysis. Schematic plans and sections. 3-dimensional renderings. Social Posts: As part of this contract, FIU CARTA will produce a minimum of 15 social posts in reference to this project.

NOTE: Specific deliverables, required views for 3-dimensional renderings, etc. shall be coordinated between the client and FIU by Design during initial design meetings.
