Student/Writer
In my last year of Practical this year and then next fall I student teach. I am working towards my Master’s degree in Special Education. As for writing, I blog about my experiences as a mom with a child with special needs in the military and I also maintain a blog where I discuss healthy recipes for diabetics (which I currently am).
Athlete
As a way to deal with my diabetes, I have been training for 5Ks and competed in the Warrior Dash in Kansas City, MO this summer! I highly recommend it! It’s super fun! I have really started to love exercise and
all that it has done to help me heal!
