    HISTORY

    Keltron , Kerala State Electronics DevelopmentCorporation Limited, is a public sectorelectronics company located in Kerala , a statein India . It is headquartered at the capital city ofKerala, Thiruvananthapuram . The company is underthe direct control of the State government of Kerala .The registered name of the company is Kerala StateElectronics Development Corporation Limited

    (KSEDC Ltd). The name Keltron was coined fromtwo words, Kerala Electronics and when it wasnecessary to use a small word in Telegramsreferring to the company. Later, the same namingconvention was adopted to name two other stateowned electronic companies namely Meltron(Maharashtra Electronics) and Uptron (UPElectronics).In its early days, the company producedDCS,PLC,electronic devices such as televisions ,radios and other consumer electronics goods. Onthis end, the company was a failure to provide itsquality consumer goods with competing rates and

    Direct SalesAll over India KCCL have dealers network. It has br anches in cities namely;Ahmadabad, Bangalore,Calcutta, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Trivandrum.The company sells the product to authorized dealers who sell it

    to the retailers whichare sold by them to ultimate customers. Dealers are givendiscounts and the companyoffers additional discounts incase of quick payment and to regular customers.Companyfixes target sales for the dealers and if they succeed inmeeting the fixedtarget they are offered commission atthe end of the year.

    Some of their customers aregiven discounts on the basisof the turnover which is termed as Turnoverdiscount.KCCL is also engaged in direct sales to thecustomers in case its a bulk order.
